SOURCE: replacing the heating element Kenmore dryer 110 64892

nestor, on the posted model, you want to drop the lower front panel. Take a puddy knife and push in on the clips on each side and it will pull off. Kill the power to the dryer. On the right you will see the heater housing. The housing will have a front deflector. You can remove that deflector by removing the screw on the bottom or simply just bend it down out of the way. Remove the 2 wires on the left that attach to the element itself. On the left side of the housing there will be a quarter inch screw that holds the element in place. Use a small socket set to get it off. Now the element will pull right out of the housing. Sometimes they are difficult to pull out but it will come out. Did you ohm out that element to make sure that was the culprit? Catriver.

SOURCE: kenmore dryer model #86870100 runs but no heat

this kit mounts on the heater element chamber. The small one will be open. The big one failed also because it is rated to shut down @250°F. The little guy is rated at 300°F. NOTE: when this limit fails it is a sure sign of a blockage of lint somewhere.8e8a912.jpg

Our Kenmore elite dryer has no heat, what do I do?

The First thing I would do is look at the heating element, you must unplug the dryer and remove the screwsfrom the back of the dryer and then locate the element and inspect it for being broke, if any of the coil of the element is broken you must order a new element.

it could be the heating element even though it is just over a year old, i have seen heating elements go out on 3 month old dryers, it also could be a thermostat the best thing to do is make sure it is getting the full 220 volts going to it, if it only has 110 volts the motor will run and have no heat and vise versa, then if that is good get to the heating element and look it over real good most of the time the heating coil will be broke into it wont look burnt just broke

My electric dryer wont heat took off the coil part

There are 2 things in series with the heating element.
One is on the element housing. One sets the amount of heat and the other blows out if it gets to hot from things that block the air flow.

Heats then stops

You need to replace the 2 solenoid coils on the burner valve . When one of them gets hot from electricity going thru it , it opens ( shorts internally ) . After the dryer cools down , they will work again until they warm up , then , no heat . Take your complete model number , when you get the parts .

heating element is located at the back of the dryer. if you can see a big coil of wires like a long spring laid back and fort to a duct , that is the heating element.
