Question about Dishwashers
Apart from the spray arms themselves there could be other reasons why the water is not getting up to the middle and top arms.
The distribution circuit from the wash pump that feeds the arms could be blocked or the wash pump itself is not developing enough pressure to push the water up. I am assuming the dishwasher is taking in water at the start of the cycle and you can see water at the base.
The distribution circuit to the middle and upper arms can be viewed in this diagram.
The part 585 carries the water up from the wash pump circuit
The wash pump circuit s shown in this diagram.
The pump is part 310 and the water is distributed to the upper arms by part 450.
Your dishwasher has got a turbidity sensor which checks if the wash water is dirty. If so, it drains the water out during wash cycle and lets fresh water in. A reason for not enough water circulating in upper arms could be the drain is happening faster than the inlet water is getting in which can cause a nett drop in water circulating in the dishwasher. Question - do you hear drain pump running when the wash is also happening?
Hope we can solve the root cause of the problem.
