Question about Honeywell Electronic Programmable Heat/Cool Thermostat - CT3300A100 Heater

1 Answer

Hi! We have a really old williamson thermostat (not sure about the model but it says t87fi89i 2 8047 [dont know if it's i or 1 either]). We want to replace it with a honeywell t87n east-to-see thermostat. There are 3 wires coming out of the wall (red, white, green) but the red is not connected to the old thermostat. How should we go about it?

On most applications for heating the red and white wires are used, however I would check what wires are connected to terminals on old thermostat. These connectons should be labled with initial of wire color, such as R,W,G,Y or Rc. If your green wire is hooked to R or whatever just hook new thermostat up like the old one and you should be ok. Hope this helps. Thanks.

3.8 liter?

The thermostat will be installed with the spring part going into the engine. It really doesn't matter how the thermostat sits in the opening unless you have a thermostat that sits horizontal instead of veriticle. If this was the case the thermostat would likely have a small opening or hole in it which would sit at the 12 o'clock position. This hole will help bleed the air out of the engine once you start to refill it with coolant.

The bolts heads are usually a 10mm or 13mm.

Hope that helps. If you have any more questions I'll be happy to help.

My burner dont work. what can i do to fix the problem

Hi,

1.Make sure you have the software installed correctly (Try Nero, Roxy, LG Burner)
2.If you do, then choose the right options depending what you want to burn (data, music, file, iso)
3.How old is your Burner? If it's really old, Then probably you need to buy a new one.
4. Try www.newegg.com / this website have really affordable DVD-RW sometimes as low as $15.99

Whirlpoool dryer not heating replaced the thermostat

Dont know the model number you have, but most of your items are located in the back of the unit. You need to make sure you replaced the thermostat, and not just the thermal fuse. The thermal fuse sits on top of the element shield, the thermostat is lower, down where the wires go into the element. You may have changed the thermal fuse, but the thermostat may be out. You will need to check (with an ohm meter) all the componants to find the trouble. If that thermal cut-off has went bad again, change the thermostat with it. Be sure you have very good ventilation all the way through, bad vents will cause problems like this all the time. Let me know if you need parts info. Let me know a model number as well.
