Whirlpool Duet Sport? Front Load Washer WFW8300SW

I am looking for an honest opinion of if this is a good washer to buy. I am a newlywed and student looking for an energy efficient front loader that will not break on us. I know it runs smaller loads but that is not an issue for me.
I have read so many reviews on front loaders and this one SEEms to have more good that bad. PLEASE HELP ME!!
Thank you so much in advance for your time and honesty

I absolutely hate my duet as well. After only having it for 8 mos. I got an error reading. It was still under warranty thank God because it cost $400.00 to fix. The repair guy said this is common. But my biggest problem is that it stinks so bad. You can't even walk through my laundry room without smelling it. I've tried everything from taking hoses apart to pouring bleach in it. I even bought the little tablets they sale for this particular problem. They don't work. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!

My Whirlpool did fine for a year and then I started having the same problem. I have a stack of clothes that cannot be worn because they have holes burned into the fabric. Very frustrating.
Whirlpool has replaced the boot, shocks, and springs and it has not helped. They are offering to give me an exchange for a top loader at the cost of depreciating my front loader (more money out of my pocket), which I am planning to do.

My washer is on the top floor of my house in an exterior room that is located over the front porch. When it goes through the spin cycle the rooms in the back of the house shake. I have been told by several people these machines only do well on concrete surfaces. I am curious to know where your Whirlpool is placed.

Anyway --I have not had much luck at all with mine and clothes are way too expensive to replace, let alone make time for shopping.

We hate our Duet Whilpool Washer as well. The loads are small, the rinse time is long and we have some kind of drainage problem that I need to fix. We bought it because we thought it would save space, but I would gladly return it if I could.

I hate my Whirlpool washer. Enough to make me post here. It shakes uncontrollably, irrespective of what is in it. I got mine from Costco, so hopefully they will take it back and put me out of this misery.

Hate my duet sport also! You cant presoak in this machine, very little water to wash with, very noisy, and everything stinks when it comes out of washer. Mine also smelled like mold but i figured out if you pull out the little tray that holds the detergent it is filled with stinky black mold. would never buy again

I have owned several washers and decided to buy a front loader due to the high cost of water where I live. To be honest i am not happy with this machine. My towels constantly smell like mildew. There is nothing worse then getting out of the shower and drying yourself with a mildewy towel. You never feel clean. I also have an issue with the clothes wringing out. You wait over an hour for a load to finish and then end up having to run it through another drain and spin cycle. What I save on water I loose in electricity. Not to mention it takes forever to do laundry. I definitely would not recommend this washer.

Horrible washer. I accidentally used non-HE detergent weeks ago, caught my mistake after a few loads but ever since am plagued with F-20 error codes about 90% of the time. Nothing is wrong with my water hoses, as most advice suggests. It's just temperamental. I hate it.

I thought getting a front-loader would be so efficient, not realizing how IN-efficient it is for electricity. The cycles are longer, the dryer doesn't dry so great, towels take forever, you can't wash small loads or they come out sopping wet no matter how many times you spin them and worst of all, I never realized you cannot soak items in the tub.

Huge mistake. Go with a decent top-loader.

Terrible washer. I am so fed up. Can't belive how much money I spent on a washer that is tenuous, at best. Works when it wants to. Am going to buy a Samsung as soon as possible. Hate to donate this machine so that some poor soul gets stuck with it.

DO NOT BUY!!!!!

Relates to an electrical/electronic problem
Try the following:
Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle. Select
DRAIN/SPIN if there is excessive water in the washer.
Re-select cycle and select HOLD TO START. If the problem
remains, call for service.

F20 CODE Whirlpool Duet Sport Washer wfw8300sw00

Hi!

“F20” on display
(Water Inlet Problem—no water or insufficient
water supply) Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle
Unplug washer or disconnect power. Check the following: Are water faucets completely turned on?
Are screens at inlet hose connection to washer
clogged? Are water inlet hoses kinked? Are water inlet hoses frozen?
Do rate the solution.

Thanks
