Loaded Camedia on Vista machine, can download 1 picture then closes program.

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as the free Picasa program ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Went to Start - All Programs - Accessories - Run
The Camedia programme was then loaded onto my Vista PC

I just spoke to Olympus Tech Support.

You have to download Olympus Master 2. (Their program is no longer called Camedia Master.)

At their main site, search for olympus master 2.

Normal 0 You need to go to the manufactures site and download the VISTA driver for the camera. Then follow the info below to install the program.



Disconnect the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD or Downloaded software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.

Maybe not, but what you can do is: remove all camedia software from Vista. Put in installation disk but dont run install program. Right click install program and select "compatability mode", choose WinXP and then install it with this property. It has worked for me in a similar manner.
