Disconnect it from the duct via the screws on the underside. use a spirit level and screw it back on level. I would charge about $180 for this as a minimum callout and labour charge in qld

Mastercool question: I have been using Mastercool for about 25 years and have two 6500cfm units on my roof. I have a problem with one unit this summer that is a mystery to me. I have new pads (40x28x12)....

Not knowing what work has been done on the system makes this difficult, but let me give you some things to check.

1. Is the air flow from both units the same? Is the good unit blowing harder than the other unit?

2. Have you watched the unit's water distribution for an extended time? Is it possible that the float is unable to maintain proper level consistently?

3. Is the dump valve, perhaps, draining the unit as it runs?

4. Is the overflow leaking?

5. Are the vanes on the blower wheel clean?

Sorry I have no other ideas at this time, but those are issues I would initally look for.

Oil is clear; exhaust often white, thick. prominent, steady miss. Cost to repair? Just started the sit.

To properly dianose you need to let us know what engine you have in the unit. But It is a fuel issue. You are getting too much fuel into the engine.

I used my portable mastercool about 4 times last summer. Now, neither motor will turn on. It is getting power and I checked to make sure all the connections were good. I could not find a trip on the...

If not cleaned out properly at the end of the season rust and scale can make both motors quit. Try unplugging the unit and spinning the blower wheel by hand several time. Then try turning the shaft on the water pump by hand; that may free it up.

If you can get the blower working again you're in business as it's the most expensive part in the unit. Replacement water pumps are $10-$15.

I have an older downdraft mastercool unit. The pads have a groove on one end. Which way do I install the pads? Groove top or bottom? In or out? Thank you, Rich

groove down and toward the inside of the unit, the groove is made to fit the long drain tray it sits on so the pad dries when not it use

Check the compressor relay (in the outside unit) Most likely it's stuck.

Water pouring out of my Mastercool, whether off or on.

AC removes moisture from the air which helps us feel a lot more comfortable.  After you turned the AC off all the water that it took out from the air poured out.  Below are some of the reasons which may have caused it.:
Improper Installation Buildup of Ice inside the AC Leakage of warm air (warm air mixing with the cool air inside causes moisture to form) Blocked drain - you just need proper cleaning for this

Summer

If it was not drained for winter, do so and then remove all scale from the pan, pump inlet screen, etc. Replace the pads if they are scaled up and remove any scale from the louvered panels. WITH THE POWER OFF, check the belt for cracking and check to drive motor and blower wheel bearings for smooth operation, oil bearings with oil ports. With clean water in the sump, a good drive belt, clean pump screen and clean pads, the unit is ready to power up and run test the float action/shut-off, water distribution through the arms, belt tension (just enough to prevent slipping). These units work best when they can fully evaporate the water, so let the air flow out as fast as it come into the cooled space to maximize the evaporative effect. Also note, these unit must be level to work properly.
