There are no mic settings. Push to talk would kinda defeat the purpose of a speakerphone, which is hands fee. Any other suggestions? What about the auto key lock deal?

My LG Neon, GT365 has a huge echo to the caller when I use the speakerphone. Can anyone help?

Also, the key lock function says "unlocked" but it still locks.

    Any suggestions

I went to the LG page and they said they had updates for the firmware but not for my model GT365 (only the GT360).

    Suggestions?

    LG Neon GT365:
1)speakerphone has an echo to the person on the other end of the line
    2) unlock is selected but cell still locks

Have tried to go to LG and look for software updates but there are none.

It was suggested that I mute during speakerphone, that defeats the purpose of a handsfree speakerphone.

    Can anyone help?
    Thanks

    Thanks.

This problem has happened everywhere I am. I will ask them to turn down their volume and see if it works. There is no echo control.

I'll let you know what happens.

Hello

Remove yourself from your immediate environment. If you are in a computer lab, office or a room that may contain varying types of electronic signals, step outside and see if your signal improves and the echo stops.

Ask the other caller to turn down the volume on his phone. This may help eliminate feedback and stop the echoing effect. If the other caller is on a speakerphone, have him switch to a handset. Adjust your own volume as needed.

Hold the phone's microphone closer to your mouth. A far-away microphone can make the echo worse. Speaking directly into the mouthpiece can help minimize echoing.

Plug your phone to power with your cell phone charger. Lack of battery power may diminish your phone's ability to run all programs with sufficient power and could be a cause of the delay in your cell phone's sidetone technology.

Ask the person on the receiving end if you can call him back. Hang up your phone, wait a little while, maybe even turn your phone off and then back on, and call him again. This will require a new connection to be made and will probably clear up the echo because it is simply a fluke in the current cell phone technology.

Check the settings of your phone's echo cancellation. If it is off, turn it on. If it is on, turn it off. If you are hearing an echo and the cancellation is off, turning it on should solve the issue. If the echo cancellation is on and you are hearing an echo, turning it off might solve the problem because it is probably the echo cancellation malfunctioning. This setting is only adjustable on some cell phones, usually smartphones.

This seems more like a software problem. Please have the firmware reinstalled from LG Service Center for best results.

Hi this is quite common, and is usually to do with the Microphone, feeding back into the call, if there are differing Mic settings, like noise reduction etc, Mic sensitivity etc, try differing settings, also with volume too, and see if one is better or worse, also as a work around i believe you can Mute, the phone when the other person is talking, sorta push to talk, (listen?) as it were.

Hi, Irene Garla!

When did you start experiencing this type of issue from your cordless phone? Usually you get echoes of your own voice when your base phone is on speaker mode. Either you get an echo or a feedback from the speakers from both units when you're on a call.
I hope this works for you. Kindly reply/comment for further assistance. Good Luck!

Mic Echoes

Echo is caused by a number of variables. Are you in a large room with mic extended away from you? Mic too far away will create echo. Also try turning down the gain for the mic

My sound is clear but caller on other end hears a echo of his own voice. HELP?

Its like calling into a radio station going on the air, and having your radio turned up while on the air you will always get an echo. Or at least a delay that other people will hear on their radio. it's the same way, with using a Car Bluetooth because they are hearing their voice coming through the speakers and going back into the microphone and then they hear that and there is your Echo. Unfortunately there is really nothing you can do except for ask them to deal with it :-(
