Basically to work like a satnav does. .... Have been using Google maps and voice navigation with no prles since May. ..... The audio does come out from the phonespeaker even when my Bluetooth is paired to the phone.
It is possible to turn up the voice level...but you have to be willing to hack the voice file a wee bit with a hex editor.
Just Open the .vpm file you want to modify in the hex editor, and
search for "<voice_volume>96</voice_volume>" without the
quotation marks...and change the numerical value - I have Australian
Karen cranked up to 96. This makes the sound level of the voice prompts
comparable to the MP3 level when I hook my Nuvi350 into my vehicle's
sound system via the added line input that takes the place of the
non-existent CD changer. Before I did this, when I played MP3s at a
comfotable listening level, the voice prompts were too quiet. Now,
they're comparable.
GO TO PREFERENCES ,LOCALIZE , LANGUAGE, UK OR US ENGLISH . EXIT BACK TO LANGUAGE , TAP VOICE , MALE / FEMALE TAP TICK . ALSO INCREASE VOLUME ON SIDE OF NAVMAN + OR -
If you have the factory fitted nav then this is an integrated system and you will need to get the clarion repaired. If you give me a call I can advise you how to arrange to have the unit repaired 0161 428 2020
Which NAV system are you using with it? KNA-G510, etc needs to be plugged into the NAV port on back and then you need to go into the System Settings to enable the NAV option and voice interruptions correctly. You'll want to look for AV Interface in the System Settings.
