Carrier weathermaker 8000 central air conditioner

Water is coming out the back-bottom area, although water is normally dripping out the tube and into the drainage. (I have to cut the tube to check if the water is coming out normally.)

It sounds like your drain line may be partially plugged. Some times a small insect will get in there and cause a partial obstruction. IF the line is clear and the water continues to drip over the sides then make sure the unit is balanced So that the water will flow to the drain and not out the back.

The filter should slide out of a built in rack from the side of the furnace by the return inlet. It should have the size on it or you'll have to measure it. It may also be inside the bottom door. Pull the door up and out, the filter will be on one side or the other. Unless you have a special Hepa or electronic filtering system.

I need to change the filter in my Carrier Weathermaker 8000. WHERE IS THE DOOR?

There is a filter on the bottom of the unit. You will either have to remove the bottom panel in the front. Or thereis a thin acess panel down in the front of the unit.

If you are running it in the cooling function, your drain maybe backed up. Find your drain outside if you can and suck it with a shop vac.
