Question about Yahoo Mail
If by 'account', you mean your free Yahoo Mail account, then you cannot
deactivate it. Only Yahoo can do that. Your account will be
automatically deactivated if you do not log in for a period of 120
consecutive days (4 months).
There is another option for you though. You can delete your account, if you know that you're not going to be using it.
To request deletion of your Yahoo mail account, click on this link:
The deletion process can take up to *90* days, even after you have requested that Yahoo remove your account, so do not be concerned if your account still appears to be active for awhile.
