I am trying to replace inner tube for front tyre. i am having difficulty taking tyre off rim. any ideas?

tyres are a pain some times, but they can be a snap if you have a good tool to unhoop it the wheel. the best tool that i have found is a butter knife that has a few wraps of electrical tape (black tape) and take that and place it inbetween the tyre and the rim prying out ward get the tyre to 'jump' the rim and with your thumb keep it off the outer part of the rim. now firmly move the knife tape side in the wheeltug it around the wheel and keep the rubber out of the rim till you get the rubber off the rim. now remove the tube form the inside, and replace the new tube (or patch the old one) back inside the rim. make sure the stem is neatly in the hole and not pressed to one side.

Now with the same motion pry the tyer back onto the rum and using your thumb keep the tyre pressed on to the rum and go all the way around now just pump the tyre back up and you should be good ro go.

How do I change an inner tube for a phil & ted vibe? So far we've puntuctured 2 new inner tubes and are totally frustrated. Any tips or hints greatly appreciated.

Best to get a local bike shop to do it. It you are determined to do it your self look for a tyre repair tool kit that has (tire irons) About 6 to 8 inch long tools with a kind of flat tea spoon on each end yo need at least 2. The kit usually has a generic instruction sheet on how to change the tyre in varying versions of Chin-lish. It is very easy to pinch the inner tube when you use screw drivers.

Huffy green machine front tire is flat

There are nuts at each side of the axel, on which the wheel turns. These may have to loosened by a spanner or may have quick release levers. If there are levers pull them outwards from the wheel and you can then turn them to release the wheel. Let all the air out of the wheel. Then insert 2 levers under the edge of the tyre, about 6 inches apart and pull the tyre out over the rim of the wheel. Put in your finger and pull the rest of the tyre over the rim. Then lever the other side of the tyre over the same side of the wheel and remove the tube. Replace the tube ensuring that the valve for pumping is in place first. Replace the tyre as far as possible by hand and use the levers for the final few inches taking care not to trap the tube between the lever and the rim of the wheel as this could cut the tube. Place the wheel back on the bike and tighten the nuts.

Back wheels keep deflating

hi, the chances are you have a puncture os something sharp sticking into the inner tube inside the tyre, what you need to do is buy a puncture repair kit then using the repair kit you take the tyre off the wheel then take the inner tube out.
now blow the inner tube up and place it in bowl of water and you should see bubbles coming off the inner tube, mark this with pen when dry so you know where the whole is, now use the puncture kit and place a patch over the whole, you can buy glue type patches or stick on patches without glue, you peel the back off the patch and put glue on or stick it over the whole if its a stick on patch and not glue.

then whilst this dry run your fingers around the inside of the tyre and check for any thorns or something sharp sticking in the tyre if you feel anything remove it and you should be ok, then when glue dry put the inner tube back in tyre and fit the tyre back on wheel now when you pump it up it shouldnt go back down unless you get another puncture.

if you are unsure what you are doing then taking your stroller into any bike shop and ask them to repair the punctures for you and they will do this for you whilst you wait.

My quinny rear wheel keeps losing air, ive replaced inner tube but it keeps going flat

Hi it sounds like you have something stuck in th tyre itself that is punturing the new inner tube, take them out & feel inside the tyre if there is anything sharp there remove it. Then you can repair the tubes.

Flat tire, S500

The wheel will have to be removed firstly.
Then with something blunt, (like a spoon handle, not too flexible, and smooth,)
carefully pry up the bead of the tyre over the rim of the wheel, now it's easier to take a second lever or spoon handle, and repeat the process, a couple of inches away from the first.
Then you should easily be able to run the smooth lever, around the tyre and rim, to expose the tube.
Then push the valve through the wheel, if neccesary, and remove the tube.
You should also inspect the inside of the tyre, thoroughly, to make sure that there isn't anything in there that shouldn't be.
After you are sure all is well, just reverse the procedure.
Just make sure that the tube does not get 'pinched' between the tyre and wheel.
Hope that helps.

Front tyre is flat..

I've had two flats on the back tyre on my jane power twin - the first time myself and my husband bought a tyre puncture kit and fixed it. The second time we tried the same thing but the puncture was in such an awkward position that the patch wouldn't adhere to the tyre so I needed a replacement. I went to my nearest Mothercare shop which sells the power twin and asked them to order me a new tyre. It took a week but the part came it and it wasn't just a tyre it was a whole back wheel. They charged me 10 euros (7 Stg approx). Hope this helps.

Help- wheel problem!

Call or email the company. I had the same problem and they sent me a new inner tube for free b/c my stroller was still under warranty (yours should be too). I took the new tube and the stroller to a bike shop where they finished the repair for me for $5.
