To be honest, once you're getting this kind of problem, the card can no longer use. You need to buy a new card.

However, I would suggest to try different things first:

1. If you're trying to reformat the card using the SD adapter or card reader, you may want to try to use different adapter or different card reader.

2. You may try different computer as well.

If the same problem occur, then there's no other option but to buy a new one.

Thank you and good luck!

Before throwing away a possibly perfectly good card try formatting it in a camera instead of a computer.

What I did, and it worked, if you use an adapter to insert tthe card into your computer, put the switch on the side in the locked position (down, compared to printed label) and insert it. I did that, and all of the files re-appeared and the card works just like it did before. After that, safely remove it and put the switch back to the original position. Just remember to safely remove every time you take the card out of a computer.

You can connect the sd card to computer with a card reader, then you can follow this sd card recovery guide to recover your files

All accidentally deleted.

I would suggest you "NOT" to copy anymore files on your SD Card to prevent data loss or data corruption. Stop using it immediately.
Download an undelete program such as Undelete Plus. I think its a free download. and run the
program to recover your pictures. If you attempt to continue to use your SD Card you are at
higher risk of loosing your data.

Hi,

The chances on any micro sd card showing errors can be either the files stored in it are corrupted or the card is simply bad already. You may try to identify the problem by performing the following steps.

1· Access micro sd card through a card reader. May it be built-in in a computer or an accessory that needs to be plugged-in to a computer.
2· Wait for a few seconds for the computer to read the micro sd card.
a· If it asked you to "open the folder to view files", do so then copy all contents in a new folder on your desktop. This is to make a backup copy of your files. Then, format the micro sd card with FAT32 format. Copy all files back to your micro sd card.
b· If it asked you to format the micro sd card, most likely all files are corrupted. Try to format the card for re-use. If not successful, your micro sd card is bad already and needs replacement.

I hope this works for you. Good Luck!

Hi i am unable to delete files on a sandisk micro sd 2gb. i have tried various programs to delete them. the file themselves say it is 0kb but still says full when its in my phone is says it is full. thanks

ok do you want to delete individual file or clean it completely.
if the memory card has gone corrupt the easiest solution to find out whether its gone faulty or just corrupt would be to format the memory card but this would mean losing all that is on there.
to format your card
1. insert it in your computer or laptop
2. go to my computer and you should see your memory card or it may say removable disk :? (? being a letter which it will name it)
3: right click on card and select format from the drop down menu
4: select quick format and click next
and all being well should be clean and ready to use again if it fails the format it generally shows that the memory card has gone faulty

My sandix 2gb microSD mameory card is write protected how will i remove it?

1.Look for a switch or button on the side of the micro SD card or adapter. It might have a lock/unlock symbol on it. 2.Move the switch to the "Unlocked" position to remove write protection. This position may also be labeled "R/W" for read/write. If you have no switch, continue to Step 3. 3.Download and install Sony EzRecover (see Resources for link) and attempt to use it to format the card (this will erase all content). If this doesn't work, try Step 4. 4.Delete and repartition the micro SD card using Windows XP. Select "Control Panel" > "Administrative Tools" > "Disk Management." Select the micro SD drive and click "Delete." Right-click on empty drive and select "New Partition."

Try formatting your memory card by inserting it in Micro SD adapter then insert this in the memory card reader and then try formatting it using HP USB disk storage format tool. This would probably fix this...
