Question about Westinghouse Televison & Video
These TVs are notorious for backlight inverter problem. You could look for a complete backlight board(this will be easier if you're not a tech), or you can replace the transformer and transistor(transistor doesn't always go - sometimes you get lucky). The transformer that is bad will have a small burn mark in it where one of the legs comes up from the board. If I was you I would just replace the board since it's easier. I have done about a half dozen of these. Joe
