Question about Cambridge Audio 740C CD Player
Your CD player have Laser Unit problem I thinks. It may be due to low emission of the laser diode, or due to accumulation of dust on its lens. Open the CD player, and gently clean it with a soft flannel type cloth, very smoothly, and carefully. In most cases this will solve the problem. Never use any liquids to wipe it. If this does not help, replacing the laser assembly with its base mechanism is the only remedy.
