There is a tiny hole just below the CD tray. Straighten a paper clip and insert it into this hole and push it in gently and the tray will pop out. then you can pull the tray out fully to access your CD.

How to remove stuck cd dell studio 1737

You can right click on the CD drive on your computer and choose 'Eject'. If that does not work, here is a link to a youtube video that should work for a slot load cd/dvd computer.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 with a cd in disk drive. The door will open but disk won't come out. What do I need to do to remove it?

The CD is loose in the drive. You need to remove the CD drive from the computer and then remove the metal case off the drive then you can remove the CD. Put the metal case back on the drive and install the CD drive back into the computer.

Cd is stuck in my gateway computer

If you open Computer in the Start Menu, right click on the DVD/CD Rom, select Eject , it still will not open? Look for a "pin-hole" on the DVD/CD drawer, near the button, insert a pager clip. If the CD has exploded, which happened to me, you will have to remove the DVD/CD Rom and dissemble it.

Remove cd from dell gx270

Hi,
if you want to remove the optical drive from the computer, follow the steps on the link below
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/opgx270/en/ug/sddrives.htm#1137845

If the cd is stuck in the drive , once you remove the optical drive from the computer , there is a small pin hole , which is like an emergency eject button for the drive. You can use a paper clip to remove the stuck cd from the drive.

Thanks

I have a sony computer, the model where every thing is built in behind the screen. a CD is stuck inside and i cannot remove. anyone have any knowledge on what to do to remove same?

The CD, DVD or BD drive tray may not open when trying to eject a disc. This can occur if there is a mechanical failure, or if there is a disk stuck in the drive.
Please follow the following steps to resolve this issue:
  1. Because some applications can prevent the drive tray from opening, close all open applications.

NOTE: If the Roxio DirectCD software is running, eject the CD using the Roxio DirectCD software.

  2. Attempt to eject the drive tray using the eject command of the operating system.
  3. Restart the computer to the BIOS by continuously tapping the F2 key on startup and, while in the computer BIOS, press the EJECT button on the computer.

NOTE: If the drive tray ejects in BIOS, but not in the operating system, reinstall the CD, DVD drive.

I have an Acer Veritron and CD/DVD stuck. I looked for the tiny hole on the front of the CD drive and there is none. I attempted to go to my computer and right click drive and it is hanging.

I fyou know how to, try and remove the cd/dvd drive itself from the tower. check if there is anything stuck, and gently press the cd/ dvd drive in opposite directions. also check the cable thats powering the drive. reseat it properly.
