Touch screen not working

Touch screen not responding cant get past warning screen

when i touch an icon , it goes to the screen under the one i want. tried reseting, and rebooting, now i cant get English back on screen.

    touch screen not responding on startup stuck on warning and legal consent page. then i get a navi.exe err message

The digitizer is no longer calibrated correctly. Open a support case at TomTom.

720 screen does not allow " i agree" to be pushed. screen was un responsive after l;ast update. Did complete reset . reloaded new applications. after the screen does respond to menu where you choose...


A lot of people are having the same issue after the update. Since you cant connect it to computer, my best advice is to get it replaced unfortunately.

Tomtom xl 350 touch screen not working


It appears the (TomTom navigation) software may have been corrupted. Try to restore your backup files on to your TomTom device, and see if it will work better.

My garmin nuvi 660 touch screen dosen't work


To calibrate the touchscreen on a nuvi 300 or 600 series:
  1. Power the unit On.
  2. From the Where to? / View map screen, touch Settings (wrench icon).
  3. Touch Display.
  4. Touch Recalibrate.
  5. A new screen will display that says Press Dot.
  6. Touch the center of the dot.
  7. Keep touching the center of the dot as it moves around the screen.
  8. When Calibration Complete appears on the screen, please touch OK.
The touchscreen will now be recalibrated.

If your touchscreen is not responding to any touch and preventing you from recalibrating the touchscreen using the instructions above, please follow the steps below:
  1. Connect your nuvi to your computer with a compatible USB cable.
  2. Open the Garmin Nuvi drive located in MyComputer/Computer. (Note: Mac users can locate the Garmin Nuvi drive icon on the Desktop.)
  3. Open the Garmin folder.
  4. Locate and delete the GUPDATE.GCD file.1
  5. Safely disconnect your nuvi from your computer.
  6. Power the nuvi Off.
  7. Power the nuvi on by holding the power button.
  8. Continue holding the power button down for 1-2 minutes until the screen calibration option displays.
  9. Touch the center of the dot as it moves around the screen.
  10. When Calibration Complete appears on the screen, please touch OK.

The touchscreen will now be recalibrated and should respond properly.

I have a garmin nuvi 660. the touch screen isn't working

I cant use the touch screen.. it wont work


If you have a Garmin 700 series unit, if the screen is not responding properly, Calibrate the touch screen.

Turn the unit off and then back on

Slide Power key to the right ( lock )

Hold your finger on the screen for about 30 seconds until the calibation screen appears.

Follow the on-screen instructions.

Cant get past the warning page


Hello :

This is a software problem . You can fix it by resetting your device .

To reset device please follow the bellow procedures :

1:Turn the Nuvi on.

2:Touch the tools icon on the main screen. The tools icon is represented by a wrench surrounded by a blue circle.


3:Touch the "Settings" icon which appears as a wrench.

4:Push the "Restore" button at the bottom of the screen. A confirmation message will appear asking to confirm restoring the Nuvi to factory settings. Push yes to restore the factory settings

Try this for hard reset .

Turn off Garmin device. Press down on bottom right corner of the touchscreen [ Don't let go ] , and then power on the GPS unit. You should be prompted whether do you really want to erase all user data, or asked if do you really want to start up in maintenance mode. Press “Yes” to reset (warning: all data will be erased and lost, so backup before proceeding) or enter maintenance mode.

When I turn on my 255W and get to the license screen, the screen goes blank

I think you have software problem with your NUVI and you need to reset it to fix the problem .

Touchscreen not responding.


There are three levels of fixes, please try them in order:
1. Reset the GPS using the Reset button, on the back, just under the Antenna Hinge. Resetting will turn off the GPS, and then turn it back on, if connected to power. Test, if fixed, great, otherwise, go to fix 2.
2. Turn the power off, then press and hold the powerbutton for up to 2 minutes. The GPS will turn on, and display a "PreBoot Mode" message. When that message disappears, and the screen calibration screen appears, follow the on-screen instructions, and you are fixed. If you still cannot use the touch screen, repeat fixes 1 and 2 several times, just to be sure., then go to fix 3
3. The touch-screen glass has probably broken or lost its connection with the GPX motherboard. You can order new touch screen glass on the web and install yourself, if you are techy in nature, otherwise do a search for "garmin nuvi 660 repair" and choose your service.
