Everything is connected properly but sound comes very feeble

More than likely your issue is an audio cable, what audio input are you using, HDMI or are you running VGA or DVI with a Mini? either one your using I would change that cable, If not running HDMI you should just change your Mini audio cable.

When i switch on the sound,a feeble sound (in high frequency) is heard from my laptop

I think you have adjusted the volume label as height level as well as the media player also.Always you would set the volume for media player, and the audio device volume, set as medium.

In another way, I think you have adjusted the equalizer in high performance ,if am I right please set the equalizer as default.

Hope it will help you.

The problem seems to be with your friend's setup, and possibly yours. Try adjusting mic levels and volume levels to where they don't interfere with each other. Ex.--you talk , they hear you at a volume that is too loud and it gets into their mic, creating a loop....feedback. You do the same too. Trial and error. Hope this is helpful.

The person I am speaking with does not hear me (He is deaf).
The microphone function does not appear to be working. I have adjusted the volume and that's not the problem (You must speak as well).
I have plugged both jacks (microphone and speaker) into my PC hard drive and am using my PC to talk on Skype (You cant plug even a single jack in the hard drive).
Problem solved!

Need more volume on computer speakers

Buy yourself some stand alone speakers, a base & two side speakers, they cheap these days, base speaker has buit in amplifier & plugs into mains, or get surround sound 5speakers & a base, again mains powered, loud enough to annoy neighbours on full. Built in monitor speakers are renowned feeble tinny sounds. Right click speaker icon, bottom right, on your desktop toolbar, open volume control, ensure volume sliders set to max.
