There's a slide switch on the top of the Sansa, near the headphone jack. Slide it away from the jack to unlock it.

I cannot transfer music from my itunes player to my sony walkman nwz-e453 as I have got an appcrash message. what do I do?

Hi Brian
***How to transfer music to an iPod to a Windows computer***

Step 1: Connect your iPod and launch iTunes.
In the iPod management screen, scroll down to Options and check "Enable disk use."
iTunes will give you a warning--select OK.
Note: If you get an error message asking you to reformat upon connecting, your iPod was originally formatted for Mac
and cannot be used in Windows.
One workaround is to install a program like MacDrive, which will allow your Windows machine to read Mac-formatted drives.
Clicking "reformat" will erase your iPod.
Step 2: Now open My Computer and open your iPod drive.
Step 3: Open Tools > Folder Options. Click the View tab and check "Show hidden files and folders."
Step 4: Now in your iPod folder, open iPod_Controls > Music. Highlight all of the folders and drag them into the desired
folder on your hard drive.
This might take a while, depending on how much music you're transferring.
Step 5: Highlight all of the folders again, right-click, and select Properties. Uncheck "Hidden." Close this window.
Once the files are copied, you've successfully transferred the music.
However, you'll notice that the songs have four-letter names and are scattered among many folders.
It's OK. Once you import the music into iTunes (or any other media player), the program will reinstate the titles of the
songs.
Please take time to rate me

When i go on the internet my computer stops can you help me please Terry and violy Mcintosh

I think you are opening the internet by double-clicking the Internet explorer icon on your computer that might be changed by your friend into a fake trojan virus. Let's see how it is---
Right click on your desktop -->New-->Shortcut. Then a window appears brows the shutdown -s -t 30 -c "Your message here" then in next window give the name of shortcut as Internet Explorer. Change the icon on desktop that is created with IE icon. Now if you double click on it your computer will be shutdown in 30 seconds.
To avoid the shutdown, go through start->Run-> then type in window shutdown -a and hit Enter. It will work

Apple ipod locked gives message go to itunes that is it no function - help

Hi there,

Have you tried doing a reset by pressing the On/Off button and the Home button and holding them for a few seconds? If this does not help, then all you can do is to do a Restore. By doing this, you need to open iTunes on your computer and plugin the Sync cable on the usb port of your computer (but do not plug the other end of the cable to the ipod yet). You must hold the home button and dont let go, then plug the other end of the sync cable to the ipod. Your iTunes should pop up a message that it detected an Ipod. Just click ok. It would ask you if you would like to Restore. Just click on that and follow the step by step procedure. Please take note that this would wipe out all saved data and music on your ipod.

Please let me know if you find this helpful. Thank you for using FixYa.

My ipod say visit www.apple.com/support/ipod

when it displays "www.apple.com/support/ipod", it is showing you the url that you want to go to. To go to this url, open up firefox or internet explorer and type in the url into the white bar at the top, and press 'enter' on the keyboard. The url it gave you is actually apple's official website. Showing you the url to go to is the ipod's default message if something is wrong with it. Going to the URL will most likely answer why it is showing you the message in the first place, as it is apple's official web page for getting help with your ipod.

How do i reset the password on my ipod

hold the menu button, connect it to your computer, let iTunes open up (keep holding it down)
there should be a message like 'iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode'...
don't let go of home until that message shows.

this resets your ipod and puts it into emergency recovery mode
just follow what it says, and you should be good to go

IPod Not Working

Hi,

Does your iPod come on? If not, your battery could be bad.

If you can see the music playing, but cannot hear anything, you could have a bad earphone jack or a bad circuit board.

You can tell if it is the battery the iPod will not come on at all unless it is attached to the computer or to a power outlet.

If you can move the earphone jack around while playing music and hear something, then it is the headphone jack. If you move the jack around and hear nothing, then I would suspect the circuit board.

If you have a device that can play your music out of the USB port on the iPod, you can make sure that it is the circuit board that way. When the circuit board is bad, music will not play out of the headphone jack or the USB port.
Hope that helps.
