Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

I will try to solve it systematically so it will be easier to understand. Note: The solution involves solving a quadratic equation.

Let amount of hours estimated be x:

Expected rate: $18000/(x hours)

Time spent extra: 6 hours.

Totals hours spent: (x + 6) hours

New rate: $18000/(x+6 hours)

Now:

18000/(x+6) x

The new rate is less than old rate by $100, therefore we can make the above inequality equality by adding $100 to the new rate.

18000/(x+6) + 100 = 18000/x

Solve by cross multiplaction:

(18000 + 100(x+6) * x = 18000 * (x+6)

18000x + 100x(x+6) = 18000x + 108000

Simplify:

100x(x+6) = 108000 (cancel 18000x on both sides)

x(x+6) = 1080 (divide by 100)

x^2 + 6x - 1080 = 0

Solve the above quadratic equation by any method (completing square, factorization or quadratic formula)

x = (-b+-(b^2 - 4ac)^.5)/2a where a = 1; b = 6; c = -1080

x = 30 or -36 (hours cannot be negative so disregard this result)

Therefore x = Estimated time = 30 hours

Check:

18000/30 = $600 per hour x+6 = 36 $18000/36 = $500 or $100 per hour less than estimated

The domestic breadmaker is a small and generally low-cost appliance. Mostly spare parts for these types of things, if they are available at all, are priced not to sell so consequently many repairs are not economic and most repair shops will charge anything up to an hour's labour to investigate and prepare an estimate. It is easy to spend more than the cost of a new replacement or make the cost of a replacement more painful when a bill for an estimate is added on.

I advise you to gather information first. Manufacturers sometimes have a fixed price repair service or trade-in or exchange deals but mostly they have little interest in items that are out of warranty.

Kitchen, laundry and housekeeping appliances are known as white appliances and there is a number of repair shops and individuals in every area specialising in white appliance repairs so look in your local classified directory.

If the repair is simple you might have a friend, neighbour or relative clever enough to repair it - it makes sense to surround ourselves with friends who can do the things we can't do for ourselves and then living becomes cheaper and a lot less complicated...

not enough information ,like your hourly rate , how many hours you work etc

for an answer to your question --earning $100.00 a week for 6 weeks will give you $600.00 before xmas

so you see all it takes is to multiply your hourly/weekly rate by the number of week to xmas and you have your answer

or divide $600.00 by the number of weeks before xmas and you will have the amount required per week to get the amount

When your total wages exceed the minimum Earnings, you will have to pay. Typically, you pay each paycheck and then file tax returns for excess contributions for a Refund.

Browser search 2012 Federal Tax Withholding info. I want to say its like $600 total annual but I easily can be wrong. Just know that the Paperboy pays income taxes.

Most of the time, employers deduct and your special status, (student, dependent, etc.) is up to you at end of year.

Don't forget FICA, Medicare type tax, State Tax, etc.

Please rate my info.

This machine determines the time it will take to wash depending on the load and how dirty the dishes are. It actually looks at the load in the machine and as it washes, it also checks the first and subsequent emptying of waste water, to see how soiled the water is. The machine then adjusts the duration of the wash depending on what it finds as it runs through the cycle. Consequently, you can't adjust the time. However, the 2 hours that the machine is displaying is an estimate, based on the most recent loads that it has done for you (I'm not sure, but I believe it is the average time taken for the last 10 or 20 loads). If the machine is new and hasn't built up a history of the loads you use, the estimated time to wash will be quite high (there may well be a 2 hour default estimate). This does not mean that it will necessarily take 2 hours. You will find that when you put in a load, the time to finish will be revised as the machine goes through its cycle.

Consequently, if you typically do the same sort of load time and time again, you will see that the estimated time to finish will begin to stablise around a more realistic estimate as the machine "gets a feel" for how long the load will really be likely to take.

Bottom line, just let it do the loads and trust the technology to do the best job that can be done. The time to finish will begin to change as it builds up a history and the machine is designed to use as little water and power as possible without your intervention.

The motors, as they fail, can run for some time before shutting down. At some point in the near future they will fail all together. I do not think the dynamic residential motor cost as much as they claim and they must not be a service center since they are charging over $100 for labor. You may want to send it to a service center that is authorized to fix Dolphins. For a list, go to the Maytronics website at www.maytronicsus.com. In the end the repair should be lower than your estimate so far.

If you want a price to replace the motor with labor, please contact us thru our site at www.arrowpools.net. I'll get you an estimate on the motor with labor and return freight charges.
