Question about Perception Digital PD-2000 (20 GB) MP3 Player
If you are sure that there is output from the player to the PC for transferring and receiving music through the same headphone socket then the headphone must be checked with the PC for good performance. If the headphone seems good then the possible output from the player is well below the level needed to drive the headphone. Increase the volume to the highest, reset the player and if there is no result the low power amplifier output IC is faulty. Since this is within the unit it becomes difficult to remove/replace except with good tools/desoldering stations.
