Question about Wasp Computers & Internet

Open Question

I'm trying to pair a new scanner (WWS-800 C) with the base and instead of getting the beeps described in the setup (To link the scanner to the base, scan the ?SET CONNECTION? barcode label. The scanner will beep once. Next, scan the SERIAL number barcode. The scanner will beep twice with a low then high beep. When it establishes an RF connection with the base, the scanner will emit three short ascending beeps indicating that ?pairing? has been established.) I'm getting 3 beeps of same tone when I scan both barcodes on the bottom. Then the light on the scanner blinks half blue/half red for 15 sec's or so before it either shuts off or if it's in the base station goes to blinking red.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: 4 beep error when scanning barcode

The four beep error is a communications error. Usually it indicates the scanne is not configured properly. If the scanner is connecting with the CBA-K01-S07PAR cable and you are using a PS/2 keyboard you should have scanned the IBM PC/AT barcode from Adobe page 56 of 342 of the LS2208 Product Reference Guide.

If you do not have a PS/2 keyboard attached and are using a USB to PS/2 adapter you should scan the IBM AT Notebook from that same page. If the scanner does not start working immediately you may have to reboot your system. If the scanner still does not work the CBA-U01-S07ZAR USB cable might be a better choice.

If you are not connecting with either of these cables and are still getting the four beep error a call to the Motorola support center may be in order. Their phone number is 800-653-5350.

SOURCE: the barcode reader eclipse ms5145 powers on,the laser light blinks and beeps at scan by not scan the barcode

It could be either one of two things, first of all will this unit scan any barcodes, or is it just one particular one it will not scan. If nothing scans and if no special programming was added to the scanner I would consider defaulting the unit back to factory settings. This procedure can be found in the manual that came with the scanner or here is a link http://www.honeywellaidc.com/CatalogDocuments/00-02544%20Rev%20K%202-11.pdf *** If you are going to do this please confirm that no special programming was done to this *** but normally they are ready to scan right out the box. So scan the barcode to "enter/exit configuration" the unit will beep tree times, then scan the "recall defaults" and the unit will beep once. Then scan the "enter/exit configuration" once more. Then try to scan a retail barcode. Hope this helps.

Honeywell 2020-5 suddenly stopped scanning. The lights are on the charger base, but the scanner seems dead.

I guess there is a problem with the base station. Let me tell my story:
I got a 4820 scanner with 2020 base. All worked fine till I experimented with scanning images. After a few images (which I cannot retrieve/receive properly due to lack of software) the scanner seems dead. From time to time a short buzz sounds when triggered, but no light or else.
So I bought another 4820, a slightly different model. Seems to work fine but has to be paired with the base to get the data. Now after pairing this scanner shows the same issues as my first and refuses to scan.
I installed QiuckView and HSM-USB-Serial-Driver on a virtual machine at my MAC to flash firmware to base and scanners. But the base device does not show up in the program (althought it is shown in the USB device table). Maybe I can try on a native WindowsPC ...

I can't get the blue light to come on top of the base. The red lught keeps flashing and the amber light is lit. Plantronics 500a headset

The Plantronics 500A is the base for the 510S system, the headset may need to be re-paired to the base unit to make sure that it has a strong link or connection. Here are the links below for the pairing instructions, and also the user guide.

The headset does not come on

CS70 headset does not come on:

If the CS70 base has lights, to show that it is getting electrical power, you may need to re-pair the headset to the base unit (the headset will usually just beep when you press the button). Here is the link for subscription or how to re-pair the headset and base.

http://www.headsetsdirect.com/plantronics-cs70n-subscription-pairing-instructions

If the headset doesn't beep or anything when the button is pressed, and the base has lights, it could be that the internal battery has worn out and the headset needs to be replaced. The CS70 is an older model that has been discontinued for a few years, however you can get the CS70N replacement headset which will work on your base.

My Wasp wws-800 works while in the docking station but not when removed, suspect li-ion battery but have not been able to find a replacement. Any ideas

your wws800 should have come with two batteries. One goes in the reception base and one goes in the scanner itself. You should allow for four to 6 hours to fully charge. When charged, scan the setup barcode on the bottom of the reception base and then the BASE code. This will allow your scanner to create a connection with the base. Give it 5 secs or so, you should hear three beeps.

Need the front panel wiring diagram for ECS 965T motherboard. Also not posting when booted. Worked. Added memory (from 2 to 6 gigs, 2x3 2GB DDR 800, matched pairs -1 broken). Never booted since! Fan...

I am not sure what diagram you need but these to is the most common ones.
Does your cpu and main board supports that amount of ram ??
Is your windows 64 bit system. 32 bit does not support ram over 3 gb
Remove some of the ram modules and try to let it start with 2 gb.
You can always add more.
Check the bios boot settings.

Good luck.

Base unit appears to be working, but neither of the charged handsets will work. Both are showing red and beeping, but will occasionally go green for a second before going back to red and beeping.

The units aren't paired. Call Graco at 800-345-4109 to have them walk you through pairing it. I'll try to explain what they just walked me through:

-Turn off all units. Make sure nursery and 1st parent unit is plugged directly into wall.
-Hold negative volume down on 1st parent unit. Keep holding it down.
-Press on button on 1st parent unit and let go.
-When you hear a beep, let go of negative volume button on 1st parent unit and then press it again.
-When you hear the second beep, let go of the negative volume button.
-If you have done it correctly, the 1st parent unit should have one red light at the bottom and the rest of the lights should be green.
-Turn on nursery unit and the 1st parent unit should pair with it.
-Repeat the above with the 2nd parent unit.
