Epson DX8450 All-In-One

Before I had this new Epson DX8450 I had the Epson Stylus C64 successfully installed on my home PC for many years but now I am unable to install my new printer, every time I switch on the printer my mouse freezes up, does anyone know why this is?

Uninstall the printer using the Control Panel. Reboot the computer. Make sure the printer is connected but switched OFF. Restart the computer and when Windows is up and running, insert the printer installation CD. When instructed, turn on the printer. Everything should now be OK. If it isn't, take the printer to the Epson Express centre and ask them to check it. If it's faulty you need to decide whether to get it repaired or dump it and get a new one - check the rel;ative costs carefully. If it's OK, then you need to get your coputer looked at.

Here is Epson's support site. The link will take you directly to the available downloads for your printer. You will need to select the os and then drivers and software.

You can download all the drivers and software from here (Click here). Open the link and locate "Download Epson Stylus DX8450............" and click the link to download. There must be three Download Epson Stylus DX8450............... so, be sure to download all of them.

Go to this link: www.epson.com

Point to the area where you live.

Click on "Drivers and Support."

In the "Product Finder" box type your printer model number "Stylus C64" and click "Go."

Click on "Epson Stylus C64."

Click on "Drivers and Downloads."

Choose the operating system from the list of drivers, follow instructions.

Install epson c64 printer do not have the disc
You do not need the CD.
You can download the drivers from EPSON.

First install the appropriate driver. And to scan an image...Go to Start...All Programs....Windows photo Gallery....select the File Tab and select Import from Camera or Scanner.

1) Unplug the power cord, wait 30 seconds, then plug back in.

2)Did you follow the directions exactly when replacing the cartridge? Did you peel off the protective film?
