Question about HP Officejet 6310 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Printer is in devices/printers green check, troubleshooting-yes. computer is connected to printer, pressed print, documnet shows up on whats printing, but is not printing. wat is going on n how do i fix it???

Not showing ready on the display


To help you troubleshoot the issue, please follow the steps given below:
- Make sure the printer top cover or printer door is closed properly.
- Make sure printer power connections are turned ON.
- Make sure there is no print job stuck in queue, if yes then you need to cancel all the print job from queue and check printer shows ready to print display.
If issue persists, please update the printer driver from your printer manufacturer website.

Check the hardware and software settings first

1) Check the Hardware Connection -
a) Power connection to Printer
b) USB Connection from Printer to Computer

2) Checked the Drivers Software
a) XP/Vista = Open the device manager
Click Start - right click on My Computer
Click on Manage
Click on Device Manager
Click on (+) Ports COM & LPT and Check wheater the Printer is listed or not
or
Check for Printer Name which ever you are using is it listed if YES - Check by printing the test Page
if NO - Install the Printer Drivers and then print the Test page

Printer offline


You did not specify if printer was formerly working, the model # of the printer, or what version of Windows you are using. All this information is needed for successful troubleshooting. However, the below is general resolution for your problem:

"Offline" means your computer cannot "see" the printer as connected and powered on.

In order of things to try:

1. Turn printer OFF. Unplug USB cord from printer (or other end from computer). Wait at least 30 seconds. Plug USB cord back in. Turn printer back on. Does it still show as "offline" under Start --> Devices & Printers?

2. Try replacing the USB cord (yes, they can and do go bad).

3. Turn printer off. Unplug USB cord.
Under Windows Start --> Printers and Devices:
RIGHT click the Konica printer icon. Select "uninstall" (or "remove device") and follow through until printer is successfully UNinstalled. If there is other Konica software installed, remove it also (via Start --> Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs -or- Programs & Features).

4. Reboot your computer. Follow manufacturer printer installation procedure, step-by-step (consult mfr website if you do not have a printed installation manual). Do not plug in USB cord or turn on printer until instructed to do so.

If all else fails:

Ignore any manufacturer installation instructions.
Do # 3 only above.
Reboot computer.
Plug in printer and connect it to computer.
Let Windows try to automatically install it (in most cases, Windows can install the "basic" print drivers, which are smaller and sometimes more stable than the fancy drivers and excess software the manufacturer wants you to install).

If still no go, you probably have a dying or dead printer. Consult manufacturer website for help.

My hp jeskjet 1560 is not working because the green light is blinking when i am on my printer it is continue blinking.pls.... some one help me


Your printer is keeps on blinking maybe because theirs a lot of pending documents pending in queue. Please follow these instructions on how to clear it.
Please check the following before you go and proceed to the troubleshooting:
  • Make sure that the computer is on.
  • Make sure that the USB cable is connected to both device (your printer & computer)
  • Close any open applications on your computer. (Microsoft word, power point excel & etc.,)
Solution #1 Clear the print jobs
  1. Download the "HP print diagnostic utility" click here to download.
  2. After downloading the tool, (print diagnostic utility) save it to your computer.
  3. Run the tool, then select the printer that your using, then start scanning the problems on the printer.
  4. It will tells you if theirs a problem with the connectivity, ports, print jobs stuck in queue and etc.,
  5. If the problem appears, theirs should be a "Fix" button available or "uninstall the driver".
  6. If theirs a fix button, clink on it to fix the issue, now if its telling you to uninstall the driver.
  7. Restart the computer, then if you have to computer boot up and running again. Install the driver for the printer. To get the latest driver that suites to your computer click here.
  8. It will ask you to select your operating system, (win xp, vista or 7) then click on next. Now it will ask you what software do you wish to download, click on "Drivers" then look for "HP Deskjet full feature software and drivers" click on it.
  9. Download the software and save it.
  10. Run the software and install it.

If you have the printer working, you don't need to troubleshoot further. If you are still having problem, continue to the next solution. Solution #2 Power cycle both devices (printer and computer)
  1. Turn off the printer by pressing the power button
  2. Unplug or disconnect the power chord at the back of the printer.
  3. Completely shut down your computer.
  4. Wait for 1min.
  5. Plug the power cable back in to the printer, then turn it on.
  6. Try to print something on your computer. It should be working fine now.

If your still having same issue, you now need to service the printer. contact HP's printer support department to have your printer trade in @ 1-800-474-6836.

When you got this message were you trying to scan?

What I want you to do is a copy. Doing a copy will generally not require you to be hooked to the PC.

Scanning and Printing all require communication from the printer to the computer. Failure in communication can either be something on the computer, something wrong with the cable or rarely something wrong with the printer.

I'm assuming you have done the following:

1. Power off your printer and your computer.
2. Unplugged the power from the printer
3. Unplugged the USB cable from both the printer and the computer.
4. Reconnect the USB cable to the printer and the computer.
5. Plug the power back into the printer and make sure the printer is on.
6. Turn on the computer.

Those are general troubleshooting steps that can be done for any communication problem.

If you have done all of those try this:

Press and hold down the Windows key on the keyboard, and then type the letter R.
Type "devmgmt.msc" and then click OK on the Run dialog.
Find the item Universal Serial Bus controller.
Click the + sign next to the word Universal Serial Bus controller.
Do you see USB Printing Support?
Yes:
Right-click on USB Printing Support, and then click Properties.
Does the Device status say “This device is working properly.”?
Yes:
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software?
No:
Click the Troubleshoot button to try to resolve the problem.
Does the Device status now say “This device is working properly.”?
Yes:
Try your print again (might need to restart)
No:
Might have a problem with your Printing Support

No:
Might have a problem with your Printing Support

Let me know - if you have a problem with your printing support you'd really need to contact your PC MFG for help - but you can always try uninstalling the USB Printing Support and reinstalling it (only if you have your disks that came with your printer).

I am having problem in finding solution for HP Laser Jet 1300 which is not getting ready and shows orange light blinking. I have check the tonner and the sensor which are located backside but the problem is still as it.

Try to clean your printheads or check the level of your inks, maybe you are low on inks. Operating system does not affect any printing outputs as I know. Check your inks also coz HP cannot guarantee the quality or reliability of non-HP ink. If ink cartridges have been refilled, try replacing them with genuine HP ink cartridges.
If the print defect is minor, it might be caused by reserve mode operation. When the printer runs out of some colors, it can continue printing using remaining inks, but print quality may be affected. If cyan, magenta, or yellow is out, the printer can print only in grayscale.
Replace any empty print cartridges. To check ink levels, follow the steps below.
  1. Press the Setup button.
  2. Press the down arrow button until Tools is highlighted.
  3. Press OK .
  4. The Display Ink Gauge selection should be highlighted. Press OK and the ink gauge will display.
OR try calibrate the color:
  1. Open the printer Toolbox :
  • Open HP Solution Center (click Start , then All Programs , then HP , then HP Solution Center ).
  • If you have more than one printer installed, make sure to select the correct printer tab in HP Solution Center .
  • Click Settings .
  • Click Print Settings .
  • Click Printer Toolbox .
2. On the Device Services tab, click Calibrate Color , then follow the onscreen instructions. The procedure takes about two minutes and requires two sheets of paper.
If the steps above did not help, clean the print head.
  1. Open the All-in-One Toolbox :
    1. Open HP Solution Center (click Start , click All Programs , click HP , and then click HP Solution Center ).
    2. If you have more than one All-in-One installed, make sure to select the correct All-in-One tab in HP Solution Center .
    3. Click Settings .
    4. Click Print Settings .
    5. Click Printer Toolbox .
  2. On the Device Services tab, click Clean the Print Cartridges , and then follow the onscreen instructions. Three levels of cleaning are available.

Service mode operation procedures -
1) With the printer powered off but connected to a power source, press the Power button while pressing and holding
the Stop/ Reset button.
2) When the Power LED is lit, press the Stop/Reset button two times while pressing and holding the Power button.
3) When releasing the Power button and the Stop / Reset button (regardless of order), the printer will move into a
service mode. (Waiting for menu selection)
4) When the LED lights in green, press the Stop/Reset button the specified number of time(s) according to the
function listed in the table below.(Each time the Stop/Reset button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in
orange and green, starting with orange.)

Let's Try first if it can print without using your computer just to check if printer is working fine by itself.
step1
Make sure its not connected to the computer and there is paper loaded on the printer. Turn off printer, press and hold paper button (middle button) then press and release the power button (right button). If you can see a flashing green light release your hold on the paper button.
If it prints by itself good go to step 2 if not check what lights do you see. Solid red light on ink light (tear drop button) means one or more inks is empty. Epson printer will not print if one or more ink is empty.

Check if computer can detect printer goto start/control panel/systems/ click on hardware tab and click on device manager
On device manager click on Universal Serial Bus controllers press on the "+" sign check if there is USB printing support on it
Check if there is a mark (ie. ?, !, red x mark). If none good there is no conflicts. If there is a mark right click on USB printing support and click on update driver and install recommended
