Question about Computers & Internet

When I restart my computer, it comes to the screen showing me the option to start in safe mode, start windows normall, etc. When I choose to start windows normally, the computer then restarts itself again and goes right back to the same screen, giving me only those options. How can I fix this problem and get windows to work? Any help would be great.

Restart >save mode >choice for NO> restore privious date for good working (choice that date vfrom witch pc was running well.again if not run ,think virus affected.should format all the drive .

IFYOU THINK YOU WANT THE DATA SHOULD DOWNLOAD, HBCD BOOT CD FROM FRESHWAP.NET .START BY HBCD CHOICE FOR LIVE XP ,SHOW ALL HIDDEN FOLDER CHECK OFF,EXTENTION FILE & PROTECTED OPERATING SYSTEM.OPEN ALL DRIVE BY EXPLORE SIMPLY DRAG THE UNNECESSARY HIDDEN FILE &DELETE .MIND IT DONT FORMAT THE C DRIVE .FOR IDENTYFICATION GO MY COMPUTER R CLICK >MANAGE >DISK MANAGEMENT>LOOK THE DRIVE LETTER WHERE YOUR OS INSTALLED. COPPY ALL DATA FOR PASTE FROM ANOTHER DRIVE TO ANOTHER AND FORMAT DRIVE ONE AFTER ONE . YOU DELETE THE RECYLER (IF NTFS) AND SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION
NOW RESTART GO FOR SAVE MODE AND RESTORE THE PRIVIOUS DATE IF NOT RUN SHOULD INSTALL THE OS AGAIN .

Put the Windows installation CD in and when prompted to install chose Repair. This will load the system files and attempt a repair on the system. Restart your machine after it finnished loading the files, and see if Windows starts normal. If it is not, you will have to re-install.

There are many different things that could cause the issue you describe.

About how old is this computer? If it's between 3-5 years old, you may want to consider purchasing a new one.

Has anything changed recently? Did you install software or other updates that may have caused this issue?

When it goes to the screen that lets you choose Safe Mode, etc., do you have an option that reads "Last known good settings?" If so, choose that option to start the computer with.

Now that PC works in Safe mode i suggest you to run the Disk Check.

Step1: Double click on My computer and then right click on C drive.
Step2: Choose properties and then click on tools option.
Step3: Click on the Check Now tab listed under Error Checking.
Step4: Select both the options under "Check Disk Option" then click on start.
Step5: It will prompt you to restart your computer.
Step6: The Disk Check gets initiated as soon as you your computer starts rebooting.
Step7: Allow it to finish.

Hope this helps.

How do you put windows into safe mode?

Power on or Restart your computer, keep tapping F8 on the keyboard while it boots up. After few seconds, you'll be taken to the "Advanced Boot Options" with "Safe Mode" in the lists. Use the Up-Down arrow keys to highlight the "Safe Mode" and press enter on the keyboard to confirm the selected boot options. Black Screen with white texts will be displayed on the display, wait for few seconds until you see the windows logon Screen. You'll also see a confirmation message box asking you to confirm to boot into Safe Mode, click "yes" or "Ok" and proceed forward. There now you are in the Safe Mode.

If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Boot your PC with the windows OS disk and choose to repair your computer when asked. Run the chkdsk program in DOS on the recover mode to correct disk errors.
On completion, restart your computer normally and check it it works.

If it does not work, you may need to format your pc & reinstall windows again.

Unable to have safe mode screen come up from hitting f8

When the F8 key doesn't work, there is another (less desirable) way to force the computer to start up with the option screen to go into safe mode is to interrupt the Windows start-up process. As soon as the Windows screen comes up showing that it is booting up, remove the power from the computer. When you restart, Windows will detect that it did not start up correctly on the last attempt and will automatically go into the option screen to allow you to choose Safe Mode.

I have installed PC Security on Vista. I forgot the password for it and now it is showing Intruder Detection window and not allowing to do anything. I am not even able to do anything of kill the process....

Restart the computer in Safe Mode. To do this start the PC and the moment you hear or see anything start tapping F8. On the screen that comes up choose Safe Mode. Do not choose any other option. Go to Add/Remove or better yet CCleaner if you have it installed and uninstall PC Security. Restart your PC and it will restart in Normal mode.

Hello I wonder if you can help. When we switch

Had a similar problem like this several times. Try choosing safe mode. Safe mode will load the required drivers. After safe mode finishes the loading process, restart your computer and choose to start windows normally. The problem you mention usually happens when the computer is turned off without using normal shut down procedures. Also happens when you have a sudden power outage.

My computer is auto restart.so i cant do anything pls help

Did you install any new software/drivers? Do you have properly updated Anti Viru installed? Sometimes misbehaving drivers force windows to restart again and again.

(Presumming that you are using Windows)

Try to start the computer in "safe mode" by constantly pressing F8 while start up. Next screen will show the options available for starting the computer.
OPTION 1:Choose "safe mode" from the option. Please wait for a while it takes some time. Once there please use the "system restore" option when dialog box appears asking for you to choose the next action.

OPTION 2: you can follow a longer process if you want to know which driver is actually malfunctioning. Choose "continue with safe mode" and type "msconfig" (do not include quotes) a new window will apear, go to "start up" TAB and uncheck all the items shown there. And resart the system normally. Now, go to run again and type "msconfig" go to "start up" TAB and check one item from there and click "ok" and restart your system. Do this untill you find the malfunctioning Driver, once you get hold of the culprit (note down the name) and restart the system once again in "safe mode" and when you reach the "start up" TAB under MSCONFIG, uncheck the specific driver and restart. Your System should work fine.
If this does not solve your issue, you will need the Windows installation disc to repair you windows instalation.
