Question about Cadex CPB2335 138" 23 GAUGE PINNER PIN NAILER KIT

1 Answer

I didn't get an instruction manual with my 23 gauge Cadex Pin Nailer. I've only used it for about five minutes and now it won't fire pins any more. Possibly there is a pin jammed but without a Manual I don't know how to clear it. Is there somewhere I can download (our upload -- depending upon one's point of view), a Manual for the Cadex Pin Nailer. (Mine fires from 5/8 to 2" pins). Thank you. Art Locke

SB 1842bn

When a firing pin won't return it's usually caused by damaged o-rings inside the gun. The most likely culprits are the o-rings around the outside of the cylinder or the rings on the drive piston. Another cause could be a cracked cylinder or bent driver. Remove the cap on top of the gun and check the condition of the o-rings, cylinder and driver. You'll have to order any parts that need to be replaced as Bostitch doesn't make a rebuild kit for this gun. Don't forget to lightly oil the o-rings with pnumatic gun oil when reassembling the gun. Most pin and finish nailers say they are oil-less but they still need a drop once in a while to keep the o-rings from being damaged.

Access is via the head cap. Remove the 4 screws and carefully take off the top. Be careful the head plunger does not fall out and keep it upside down.this way you are sure how to put head back on.

tap top of body against your hand to drive piston up and remove and replace piston assembly.
