Hi,

The fuse is inside the cover and the outside will need to be removed to get there...

It could blow from a power surge or from a faulty component inside... hard to tell...

Best thing to do is to check the components while the cover is off... this will take the right equipment to test with and some experience...

Here is a tip that will help you to figure out what is wrong with your Microwave Oven....

If you take the cover off, you will find a schematic sheet folded up on top of the oven some place, it usually has trouble shooting stuff in there, like the fuse, etc. I don't know if you will find a fuse or not, maybe, but what probably blew is a voltage rectifier, should be called a recti-frier. It is a little transistor looking thing that is held down with 2 screws, it looks like a blasting cap, They are fairly expensive to buy, radio shack has them, but it might not be the problem, just one of the troubleshooting things on the list. I did the same thing to mine, paid way to much for it, couldn't afford to fix it, took it apart, found that paper, found the fuse thing, found a microwave in the dump with the cover off it and that fuse thing was staring me in the face, I grabbed it, took it home, guess what? It worked. Couldn't believe it, but I will never buy another expensive microwave , I'll buy the $39 special and when it blows, it goes!

There are 4 screws on the back or the bottom, take them out, slide the cover off. Just like a computer. Check it out.

My sharp R-352DC Microwave won't heat, and turntable doesn't rotate. Please tell me the problem?

Maybe a bad fuse. If the transformer is bad that would blow the fuse. The magnetron unit may be causing it too.

The food in the microwave is not heating up I have tested the fuse (F8AH250V) and found that it has blown. Is it safe to replace this fuse (F8AH250V) on my microwave.

Fuses seldom just go bad on their own, but it's safe to replace. Before you replace the fuse, squeeze the tabs of the fuse holder clips together a bit. Sometimes they don't grip the fuse tightly enough, and this can cause heating which damages the fuse. If the fuse blows again there is a bad part in the oven that will need to be located and replaced. For a small countertop oven, it's probably more economical just to replace the oven than to repair it.

Dishwasher is running through cycles ok but water is not heating so only cold cycles.

Hi

The water is not heating as the heating element has gone bad or a fuse has blown which is preventing heating element to turn on. To check the heating element you'll need to turn off the dishwasher, unplug it. After unplugging it check the heating element formineral deposit on it, clean the deposits using a soft brush and a cleaning solution(Don't scrub the elemnt hard). If this doesn't resolves the issue then remove the panel and examine all the wirin connections to the heating element. Now, use a multimeter and check for the resistance reading(ohms, Rx1) for the heating element. The multimeter should display between 1200-1600 ohms or 1.2K ohms. If it is less than 1200 then you'll need to get the heating element replaced. Also, check for any blown fuse around the element. This should resolve your issue.

Thanks

Daniel

Microwave turns on but doesn't heat. Turntable does not rotate

The magnetron (the part that heats the food) is probably done, they tend to go out if the fuse didn't blow and it usually isn't worth fixing as the cost of the magnetron is almost what it would cost to buy a new microwave.
Sorry for the bad news.

Power but no heat

If you have no power in the microwave, check to see if the outlet is good by plugging something else into it. If there is power, you may have blown the internal thermal fuse, or the door switch may be defective. Either of these will keep your microwave from working. The thermal fuse protects both you and the oven by blowing if there is too much power going through it. When a fuse blows, it means that the wire inside that conducts electricity has broken, usually because of an electrical overload. When it blows, you need to have a professional microwave repair person replace it. If this is not the problem, it may be that your door switch has become defective. If the door switch isn't working properly, it won't let the circuit complete to operate microwave components.

Sharp Carousel Microwave Model R520-LK timer will run but carousel doesn't turn and food doesn't heat.

I also have the Sharp Carosoul oven, symptoms - fan runs, controls are fine but the turntable stopped turning and it did not heat. It was not the switches, fuse, but in fact a sagging door that misaligned with the door switches. The true cause was a warn top hinge. As a temporary fix, I adjusted the bottom hinge (3 screws underneath), straightened the door, and now it works again.
