How to unjam a fax paper - HP OfficeJet 7310 All-In-One InkJet Printer

ok once you have unjammed your shredder try to reduce the thickness of your load and slowing down the paper going thru hope this helps

Probably it's the jammed paper that might caused the error. I suggest have it serviced by the technician. Be aware of the paper handling capacity of your machine to minimize jamming:

to clear document jam:
1 Open the front panel.
2 Carefully remove the jammed document.
3 Close the front panel firmly until it clicks
into place.

If the fax paper jams while you are receiving or printing, Remove jammed paper and press
Cancel appears in the message.

if the paper is jammed in the printing area
1 Remove the jammed paper by pulling it out
smoothly in the direction of the arrow as
shown.
If the paper tears when it is being removed
check to ensure that no small pieces have
been left inside the machine.
2 Press Cancel.
3 If this was a fax, reprint the fax. For more
information, see reprinting faxes on
page 29.

if the paper is jammed in the paper feed
area
1 Remove the jammed paper as shown.
If the paper tears when it is being
removed check to ensure that no small

2 Reload new paper with the print side
facing toward you.
3 Press Cancel when finished.

check the user manual for instructions on unjamming your fax. if you don't have the manual you can get it from the internet. jaime

you will have to take it apart it fits right on groves from middle tray.

Very likely it is the feed roller. Look for the holders beside the machine and just slot it back in place.

what make and model printer? it will help

Lift the scanner lid, then lift the black part of the fax - pull up hard for it to lift. Unjam the paper either still on top or gently lift the inner section and retrieve your jammed paper. Then put everything back together and you're right to go again.

I shifted the switch from "reverse" to "auto" until the machine responded and spit out the paper. If it doesn't work the first time unplug it, replug it and try again.

Just unplug the power cable in your machine and put it back again.The paper jam will clear but...also the fax memory will be clear at the same time.just tel the other line to re-send thier fax again.
