Question about Kenmore Washing Machines
The most common problems would be motor or belt...
If the machine still agitates then it probably is not the belt....
The motor runs one way for the agitation and the other for the spin....
The spin direction of the motor has probably gone bad...
Using a good electrical meter and following the wiring diagram you can check to see if the motor is getting power to it before replacing it...if it is getting power and not running then it needs to be replaced...
