Steps how to install 4-port Cable router what steps we should do..

This is a switch so if it is the only thing that is attached to your modem it will not work for more than one device. The first device that it talks to will be the only one with internet. If you want to use internet on more than one device you need to get a router. This will make it so you can use more than one device on your network.
If it is not the only thing attached to your modem and a router comes first then setup is simple. You just have an Ethernet cable go from any port on the router to the "uplink" or "internet" port on the switch. Once this is attached you can attach anything else to the switch and it will have internet.

How to connect netgear fs108 to cable modem

leeb..... switches cannot be connected to the Cable modem.... because NAT will not be enabled in cable modem....so there wont be any DHCP server present in the cable modem....
Nat will be enabled only in DSL modem like AT&T verizon etc....So DHCP server will be present inside DSL modem...that is the reason why switches can be connected only to the DSL modem....
With NAT enabled modem, switch will work as a switch.... With NAT disabled modem, switch will work as a hub.... This is the difference....
Any doubts further ? please clarify with me.... I am ready to help you....

Hello Friend
You could definately use Network Switch-10/100 5-port model#EZXs55w to Connect to Network Router or Modem using Uplink Port at back Panel of 10/100 5-port model#EZXs55w Switch.
Simply Connect Modem cable to Uplink Port of Switch and connect computers to other 2 ports of switch. Allow computers to get Automatic ip addresses..if computers still not getting ip addresses auto--contact cable company and config your cable modem to use NAT or enable NAT--

WRT 110 TO DSL MODEM CAN'T FIGUREOUT WERE THE

Should be pretty simple ... power goes in a little round hole ... computers go into the various ports ... uplink goes to the modem.

Nothing called uplink? is there a switch on the back that makes port 1 or port 4 the uplink. Press it in (guessing) for uplink ... out for regular port. More likely you will have a dedicated "uplink"

Point is one of the ports goes to the modem ... if nothing is marked ... keep trying until you get connected.

You will need a short piece of Cat five wire to connect the router to the modem.

1. Try different cable if possible.
2. Check the network port of the laptop. Make sure the pins are in tact and there is no dust/dirt or anything blocking the port.
3. Verify the other end as well. Check the hub/modem/switch or whatever you are plugging into. Make sure it's securely plugged in.
4. If plugging into a router, make sure you aren't plugged into the Uplink or Modem port. If it's a simple 4 port hub, avoid plugging into the uplink port as well.
5. If you have a cable modem that plugs into a router then into your computer, test by powering everything down. Plug the laptop directly into modem's ethernet port. Turn power on to modem. Turn power on to laptop. Check your network light and test internet. If it works there's something wrong with router. If it doesn't, look to the cable for issues.
6. Lastly, if none of those steps worked, remove the ethernet driver and reboot laptop. Let Windows detect the ethernet card, then re-install the driver choosing to overwrite the existing. Know that Windows will tell you you're device is ok just because a driver loaded successfully. It doesn't always know if the driver is the correct one.

Hub internet connection...

I don't know exactly how familiar with networking you are so I am going to run through the basics so forgive me if I am stepping on any toes. First we need to make sure the physical connection of the network is intact. The gentleman above asked a very valid question. On most switches these day's they are autosensing and this doesn't matter but the port that says uplink if any of them do needs to be hooked up to the modem. If your modem that is supplied with your cable service is not also a Router this configuration will not work. The way personal broadband works is the ISP or Internet service provider provides you with (1) public IP address that is allowed for you to use. If you are wanting more than one computer on this (1) IP address than you have to do what is called NAT network address translation or more specific PAT port address translation. What this does is take your different computers that are on your network and assign them different ports to which they can communicate to the outside world. So in saying all this if it is not also a router this feat is imposible. If it is a router than you need to set it to DHCP and turn on your DHCP in you network connections control panel. I can give more detailed instructions with your follow up post on this answer. If it is not a router than my suggestion is take it back to the store if you can and buy a very low cost router and use it.

Blinking light on the DSL modem.

Unfortunately it sounds like the modem may need to be replaced. I had the same issue. Even after doing a complete shutdown, resetting all the cables, restarting the modem and then the computer, it still did not work. After you get the modem replaced, I would suggest you get a spare, possibably from e-bay, so if this happens again, you will not be without DSL Service.

4 port wired belkin router

Is the cable to your modem in the 'Uplink' or 'WAN' connnection?

Connect your PC to the modem directly. Do you still lose the connection? If you do, Call your DSL tech support and ask them to check the link to your modem. They should be able to let you know if there is a issue from their end.
