Question about Panasonic FV-05VQ3 WhisperCeiling Fan
Thank you Eagle338 for your assistance. I should mention that the nutone fan was originally located on the wall and we installed the panasonic fan on the ceiling at the same distance that's why I do not belive my problem is an increase in static pressure. The fan is mounted flush on the interior side of the dry wall I do not understand what you mean by installing it lower. Lower to what? Thanks
Those fans are only designed to remove steam and high humidity from bathrooms to prevent mold.

try to install the fan at a lower height so that it can drive out all the smoke. This is because the fan can driveout air with in a certain radius and installing it at a lower height increases it..
