Question about DeLonghi Vacuums

2 Answers

I have a DeLonghi coffe urn Model # DCU61. It leaks terribly during the brewing cycle. I believe I broke the seal. I tried to unscrew the glass knob on the cover to clean it and discovered it didn't screw on! Please help me. I can't seem to find an appliance repair that will fix coffee urns.

Hello

First locate where the leak is coming from,Leaks in pump coffeemakers are often due to faulty tube connectors. Unplug the coffeemaker and fill the reservoir with water. If water leaks from an elbow, clean the mating surfaces before replacing it. If your water leaks from a tube connector, replace the tube and mating elbow to ensure a good fit.

Also double check the carafe to make sure it does not have a crack.

Try using less ground coffee and a bit less water to brew as the coffee maker tends to leak if too much water is used

I am sorry but these are just replaced not repaired, that is why you have been unable to find a repair center to do the job, the cost to repair is near or exceeds the cost to replace and in many instances. My best advice to you is just replace the coffee maker, it is the most cases with this type of appliance the most cost effective option by far.

How do I get a manual for my Mr Coffee BVMCPSTX91-WN? the clean light is on and I don't how how to clean it or how to get the light off

The Mr Coffee web site has the manual on the product page: http://www.mrcoffee.com/coffee-makers/mr.-coffee-optimal-brew-10-cup-thermal-coffeemaker-black/BVMC-PSTX91.html . Click on the Service and Support tab. The direct link to the manual is http://demandware.edgesuite.net/aamb_prd/on/demandware.static/Sites-mr-coffee-Site/Sites-mr-coffee-Library/default/v1426159971356/documents/instruction-manuals/BVMC-PSTX91_43_72624326.PDF . (You'll need Adobe Reader or a similar program to print the manual.)

The Clean light will come on when the Clean button is held. It won't go off until the cleaning cycle is complete; it's completely automated. You need 4 cups (20 oz.) of white vinegar or the Mr. Coffee Cleaner (diluted as directed on the package). Make sure to remove the water filter disk from the unit before cleaning. Pour the vinegar or cleaning solution into the reservoir into the reservoir. Put in a paper coffee filter or the permanent filter into the brew basket and slide it into place. Put the empty decanter in place. Now you should press the Clean button until the Clean light comes on. The unit should slow brew 3 cups of the cleaning solution and then pause for about 30 minutes while the Clean light remains on. It should then brew the remaining solution. After the cycle finishes, the Clean light should go off. Afterwards, you need to empty the decanter and rinse it with clean water. Fill the reservoir with fresh, clean water. Then replace the decanter. The cycle could take an hour.

I hope this helps.

(some brewing systems light the Clean lamp when it's time to clean the unit after lime deposits build up. To my knowledge, most of the Mr. Coffee brewers do not.)

Need to clean cuisinart 12 cup coffee on demand coffe pot. How do I clean?

Do you have the DCC-2000?

To delime a multi-cup coffee maker, mix white vinegar with water (1/3 vinegar and 2/3 water) and fill the water reservoir completely. Then turn the coffee maker on. Wait until the unit completes the "brewing" cycle and beeps 5 times. Turn off the coffee maker. Discard the liquid after the cycle. Then fill the reservoir with clean water and turn on again. When this cycle completes, again discard the liquid. Repeat the water rinse if you notice an odd taste to the coffee afterwards. (If the coffee maker still has deposits, repeat the vinegar cleaning cycle and rinse cycles.) There are commercial deliming products, mix them with water following the package directions.

The manual for the DCC-2000 is available as a link here: http://www.cuisinart.com/products/coffee_bar/dcc-2000.html . The direct link to the manual is http://www.cuisinart.com/share/pdf/manuals/dcc-2000.pdf .

I hope this helps.

When i make a cup of coffee with my kuerig coffee maker my coffee is coming out with coffee grinds though it. how can i fix this problem?

Your coffe may be ground too finely for your maker.

Is your coffee maker flat-bottom or cone shaped? Or is it a french press?
Your coffee needs to be ground according to the brewing method. Too coarse and it will be watery, too fine and it will be too dark, or you might get grounds.

The red light on my coffee pot is on and will not go off. I have run cleaner thru the regular cycle now what? Its a 12 cup programmable Mr. Coffee.

I know this sounds like a pain but it takes a while toget that silly light to stop. Decalcifying your MR. COFFEE® Coffeemaker Minerals(calcium/limestone) found in water will leave deposits in your coffeemaker andaffect its performance. It's recommended that you regularly remove these depositsusing MR. COFFEE® Cleaner or vinegar. MR. COFFEE® Cleaner is available at manyretail stores or by calling the MR. COFFEE® Consumer Service Department at 1-800-MR COFFEE(1-800-672-6333). 1. Follow packageinstructions to prepare one batch of MR. COFFEE® Cleaner. Pour the mixture into the water reservoir. Before decalcifying, remove the water filtration disk from the machine. NOTE: 4 cups or 20 fl. oz. of undiluted, white householdvinegar may be used as a substitute for the cleaner. 2. Place an emptyMR. COFFEE® 10-12 cup basket-style paper filter or MR. COFFEE® permanent filter into the filter basketand slide the brew basket in place. 3. Place theempty decanter back in the unit. 4. Press theCLEAN button until the CLEAN indicator light turns on (Figure 9). For your convenience the cleaning cycle isautomatic. The entire cycle will take 45-60 minutes to complete. During thecleaning your coffeemaker will: a. Slow brewapprox. 3 cups of cleaning solution. b. Pause for 30minutes (the CLEAN light will remain on to alert you that the process is active). c. After 30minutes, your coffeemaker will brew the remainder of the cleaning solution. d. When complete, the CLEAN light will turn off and your coffeemaker will turn off. 5. Discard the cleaning solution and rinse the decanterthoroughly with clean water. 6. Fill the water reservoir with clean, fresh water. 7. Place the empty decanter back on the coffeemaker. 8. Remove and discard the paper filter usedduring the cleaning cycle. If a Mr. Coffee® permanent filter was used during cleaning, remove it andrinse it thoroughly before replacing it in the filter basket. 9. Begin brewingand allow the full brew cycle to complete. 10. Repeat steps 5 through 9 one more time.

My pressure cooker is not sealing. About 10 minutes into the cook cycle, steam and liquid start seeping out of the lid. I've checked to make sure the rubber ring in the lid is in place and restarted it...

I would say that you have a good solution for your problem. The seal could be bad. With the issue of pressure, it does not take much to make a leak. Is the leak in the same place? If so, make a mark on the outside of the lid and when the lid is removed, check the seal at this point. Sometimes it is a dirty seal or a small crack that can be the problem. I am not sure how much a seal costs, but you might want to install a new one.

Hi, looking down into the brew group you see the bottom filter, looking on the side with the piston (o-ring) you see the second metal filter on the bottom of the piston.
