Question about Grohe Model 28 206 OOO: Ladylux Plus Deluxe Champagne shower head - Chrome

I tried to remove the fixing screw on a grohe ladylux kitchen faucet and I could not get it out with an allen wrench. In the process of trying to get the fixing screw out I stripped the screw. Any suggestions on how to get the fixing screw out?

Did anyone ever help you guy with this issue? Having the same problem. I have no water pressure so I tried to unscrew it to clean the cartridge and it stripped and is stuck. Even bought the stripped screw remover and it's not working.
Thanks.

I am having the same problem. The outer hex head is not defined enough to get a grip on it (tried with needle nose pliers and was not able to turn it) and the interior allan mold has been rounded off making the allan wrench useless. How do I get this screw out so I can proceed with replacing the cartridge?

The hose should simply unscrew from the back of the head.

If it has a removable aerator screen, remove it and clean it out. If it can't be removed, try soaking the entire head in white vinegar for a couple of hours. You should see a big improvement.

How to change spray hose on grohe kitchen sink ladylux model

I have the Ladylux plus. I was confused on how to remove this as well. There is a quick release plastic piece, just pull down on the yellow part on the connector under the sink. Disconnect the plastic connector from the hose and pull it right out of the faucet. Very easy to remove in this case.

Before you start taking the whole faucet apart try taking the airiator or head of the end of the faucet. It may just be some sediment blocking the filter screen on the head. Unscrew the head and see if the water flows with the head off.

Trying to disassemble Ladylux Cafe faucet. Grohe

If it is just replacing the handle you will only need a smaller screwdriver set (pretty common) and an allen wrench. I don't know exactly what size you need but you can get a set of these wrenches pretty cheap at any tool or hardware store. Basically the tool is a hexagonal rod that is bent in the shape of an "L". You'll need the smaller set for this job sold usually in sets that have a range of sizes from .05" to 3/8" diameter. I would guess your hex nut is 1/8" or less.

On the bottom of the handle between the sink bed and the handle you'll be able to feel a small hole. When you stick the allen wrench in there it should fit snuggly if the allen wrench wiggles a lot go to the next size up. Since the screw is facing up you will pull the other end of the wrench toward you. This will loosen the screw. It will not take a lot of effort so if you have to force it make sure the allen wrench is actually seated. Kind of a pain but you'll have to reposition the wrench as you get it loosened to fully extract the screw.

Once the screw is out the handle will drop down and the cap just pulls off. Assembly is reverse but make sure that your screw is going into the threads without resistance before tightening. This will prevent cross threading.

Is there a little emblem or similar in center of handle that pops out to expose a screw or allen key style screw? Also check around base of handle,(almost standing on your head) for a n allen screw head as well, or any area that looks like it might pop out .

Loose Grohe kitchen faucet

there are mounting plates underneath the counter which fasten the faucet to the counter. This unit will need a small allen wrench if memory serves me correctly...keep in mind that all moen faucets are lifetime guranteed and alot of folks do not take advantage of this amazing warranty which makes these the most desirable faucet on the market.however the need to tighten this faucet prob isnt a warranty replacement procedure but can be determined once mounting items and faucet is inspected...good luck
