Have a galaxy 22b base station, its stuck on 27.165, no matter what channel you turn it to, its still 27.165. even if you restart the base station it goes to channel 9 as expected, but it recieves 27.165 (channel 17) on channel 9 and every other channel.

I have a galaxy 33hml and i can not figure out how to set it up with the nobs i mean can you help me....

first of all is it set up to a antenna source? if so then turn the squelch nob counter clockwise all the way, then turn the device on. next start at channel one and slowly turn the squelch clockwise until the pin moves or you hear static. then surf the channels adjusting the squelch to to that static point until you find your active station. from there to cancel static between transmissions turn the squelch so that it is just below the static marker.

The base station just won't power up - no matter

You either have a bad cable or the unit has an issue. Don't know if this thing has a fuse in it or not, but if the cable is good (check by metering it out) then your next step is to see if it has a fuse. I'm willing to bet it does not in which case your stuck buying something new that does power up.
