This is rather easy. When you are in your download folder and can see some of your desktop you are fine, if you can't see any of your desktop look at the top right of your window next to the big X, you should see two window icons vs. one window icon. If this is the case click on the double window icon and you should now be able to see some of your desktop now.

At this point right click and drag you picture to a vacant spot on your desktop. You will be given some options, Move, Copy or Create Shortcut. Select copy and you now have a copy on your desktop. Of course, you can choose Move is you so desire.

If you need any clarification in understanding these instructions use the comment box below to let me know and I'll be glad to help you further.

Select the pictures wyou want to move and drag them to the desktop. From there you will know your way.

Some folders have security preventing you to do what you want. Your personal folders should not stop you from doing that including your desktop

My computer will download all the pictures from my sd card everytime I connect the camera. It used to only download the newest pictures, then I updated a driver and now it downloads all 200+ pictures...

The answer is simple. Stop using the camera and get an inexpensive card reader. Create a folder on your desktop and download just the pics you want to that folder. Once there, you can move them anywhere you want. typrice_81.jpg

Once photos are downloaded from camera into Olympus software am unable to move them out of it as e-mail attachments or simply save them to "My Pictures" on hard drive.

Why don't you download them to a folder you create on your desktop instead of the software? Then, you can move or use them as you wish.

If your camera uses a memory card, just buy an inexpensive card reader and download your pics to a folder you create on your desktop. Double-click that and you can open your pictures.
