  • dkward Nov 11, 2010

    Yes, it is dead.
    Thanks

I cleaned it with vinegar not long ago. It started shutting itself off but would come back on if I hit the switch. This morning it did it again but would not come back on.

My Keurig B70 started shutting itself off and after brewing 1 cup of coffee this morning it would not come back on at all. It's dead.

Thanks for the help, but that's not it. Can't check to see if the automatic shut-off is enabled because it won't come on. If you have any other ideas please let me know.

Our B70 Keurig died. It started shutting itself off and now it won't come on at all. We've checked everything we know. Could the off/on switch be bad? If so, can it be fixed?

Thanks. I'll sure try it. I've already sent them an e-mail but haven't heard yet. I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks again for your help.

Another person on Amazon reported this problem, and Keurig sent them a new one:

By Firefighter ***** "FF *****" (Fairfax, VA USA) - See all my reviews
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Keurig B-40 B40 Elite Gourmet Single-Cup Home-Brewing System (Kitchen) You're probably wondering why I would give 5 stars to a product that broke on me in the first six months. Well, let me tell ya...

I bought the B-40 Elite through Amazon in January 2010 and used it daily for about three months until our weather warmed up here. I'm not a huge fan of coffee in the summer, so my machine got a rest. But twice in the past couple of months I've fired it up and it won't start. The power comes on, it hisses for a few minutes, then shuts off. The water never heats up.

So I called the Customer Service Line yesterday and they walked me through a couple of potential fixes and then, out of nowhere, the technician says, "Ok, I'll send you a new one. All you have to do is send me back the K-Cup holder (which is a tiny plastic cup about the size of two shot glasses)."

"That's it? Really?"

"That's it. No charge. Just put the little plastic K-Cup holder into a padded envelope and send it back to me within 30 days. And for your trouble, I'm going to send you some extra coffee. What kinds are your favorites?"

Wow. Talk about bowled over. While I love my B-40 Elite and my coffee (try Donut Shoppe), I love their customer service even more.

Here's their web support site:
http://www.keurig.com/customer-service

Contact them, or whoever you purchased it from, and perhaps you will have the same luck.
Hope this helps!

Unfortunately this is a common problem. The water reservoir tank probably isn't seated properly. Try wiggling the tank a bit and if that doesn't do the trick, completely remove the water reservoir and then replace it. Once it's seated properly, it should start drawing water and brew as designed. This seems to be a design flaw with this particular model, so periodic adjusting of the water reservoir may be necessary to ensure it is seated properly if your problem persists.

You also need to check if the auto-shut off is enabled. If it's enabled, try to turn it off and see if that will help.

Thank you and good luck!

Check to see if there is ice built up around the door preventing it from closing and sealing properly. This can happen if the door isn't closed all the way at times.

Need to get a meter on that car, auto zone will do it,make sure it's charging.
I am thinking the voltage regulator is not in the alternator.Think it's in the control computer. If it goes bad ,the car won't charge.Instead of buying a computer you can also use an older style (say 1980's) external electronic regulator.have to get a pigtail from a parts store ,hook up 2 wires to the alt. Cap and seal the old wires that used to go to the ECM. Works fine and won't go bad again.

If the gas won't even drain from the tank, try removing the gas cap. It has vent holes and if this is plugged, the vacuum won't let the gas drain. If that is the case, clear the holes.
