Usually when I plug my camera into my computer, I get a pop up that asks if I want to import photos. I don't get that now and I'm not sure how to fix it.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

How do I import photos from my camera?

There are two ways to import your photos.
One, your camera should have an sd card which you can eject and put into your computer. The sd card should have all your photos and videos in it. Typically the card is located near the battery and you can press down on it and it should pop out. You may also need a sd card reader or micro sd card reader if it doesn't fit in your computer.
Second, your camera should also have a usb port, whether micro or mini or whatever. It should have a port to connect to your computer through a usb cable. In this case, just connect your camera to your computer and it should show up on your computer like an extra drive where you can go in and see all your photos.
Also, the folder that holds everything is usually labed DCIM i believe.
Hope this helps.

Hi there:
You don't need special software to transfer photos to your computer if you have a USB port on your computer and a USB cable that will attach to your camera on one end, and the USB port on the other.

Plug the camera into the USB port by means of the cable, and turn on your camera. That's all there is to it. In just a moment or so, a message will pop up to tell you that your USB drive is ready to use. You may even get a pop up asking what you want to do?

Select "Open Files", or if the pop up option does NOT pop up, open your "My Computer", and you will see an additional hard drive. That hard drive is actually your camera, and you can go in, copy all the photo files onto your hard drive, delete them from your camera, or anything else you would do between two folders on your own hard drive.

However, I suggets visit THIS LINK or this OTHER LINK

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Can't download photos...

The easiest way to transfer the pictures onto your computer is to remove the memory card and plug it into a card reader (either built in or a USB card reader if you have one). If not, you can connect your camera to your computer by the USB cable.

Once you plug the camera or the card in, Windows will usually ask you if you want to import the images. You can do that or import them manually by opening up the SD card or camera in my computer and dragging the files to the folder you want to store them in.

Please leave feedback if this was helpful. Thanks

Can not down load photos into computer. Have cord also disk

install the driver from the disk ..and after that connect the camera to teh computer ..it will start the install wizard and after that will prompt you and say that the device is installed and ready to use..Be sure during all these operations the camera is charged and on ...some cameras will ask for confirm on the display in the moment of the plugging ...confirm the pc connect and thats all...Either will start an autoplay asking you what you want to do ...open containing folder or import using wizard ..or will do nothing and in this case ..if there was a software on the disk run it ..and import using it ..if there wasn't any import manager on the disk ..than you should use a photo manager like ACDsee..cause it has a import from device feature..(you can also use the windows picture manager ..if you have it installed..
or...usually after finishing the installation and restart the computer you will find the device or the removable storage inside the my computer folder..just open it and copy pictures from it into computer ..

Will not download pictures

Hi you need to Import to "My Pictures" Folder if you can see that option. As soon as you plug in the USB plug from your Camera to the Computer it should make a sound and and Import menu should pop up. It will ask what you want to do with the images. You will select Import to my Computer, If it gives you an option to save to "MY PICTURES" Select that option. If not just Import to your Computer and then Later go to "Pictures" in Windows and select RECENTLY CHANGED option. This will pull up the Pictures you JUST PUT ON THE COMPUTER. Hope this helps
