HP Compaq notebook will not boot up. It seems to start and immediately shuts down. I am unable to turn it off without removing the battery or disconnecting the power supply. This happened before and someone gave me a solution but I did not print and keep it. Can anyone help?

The solution would be very helpful if I could get that either of the stages. The notebook will not run long enough to start up at all. It turns on, then off immediately and keeps trying to start up.

I have a refurb'd hp compaq 7100 - it will not boot up - begins bootup protocol and immediate shuts down - orange light begins flashing and it beeps. Will not start with a boot CD. What is going wrong?

The processor is probably getting too hot. If it's refurbished, it is likely that an unexperienced technician put it together without removing and re-applying the heat silicone compound on the processor and heat exchanger. It will shut down if the temperature reaches the threshold level the BIOS senses.

My compaq F756NR's screen remains blank after booting up. The power buttons are on. Please help.

Remove the battery and the power plug. Restart the laptop without the battery and just the power plug. This may help. If it does shut back down and put the battery back in. If it doesn't, then please contact the vendor or a local technician. Cheers, Ravi Shanghavi

My laptop dont read hard disk drive

Hello,

Okay, shut down your laptop, turn it up side down, remove laptop battery, remove Cd drive by first unscrewing the CD drive's screw before removing/detaching the Cd drive from the computer.

Turn on your computer without the Cd/drive, allow computer to boot, after a while, shut down computer, fix in back the CD drive and turn the system back on.

By now the system should read the CD drive. If it does not, then I'm afraid some this is wrong with the Drive, but I'm sure it should work.

Take care.
