Kneading blade comes off during breadmaking process

Yes, if the blade come off then your bread is not going to mix and knead properly. The blades on all makers are designed to slip on and off though so you can remove them for cleaning etc. Be sure you are pushing the paddle all the way on. If it still comes off when mixing that would be very odd as the weight of the dough ball itself helps keep paddles on. I have owned dozens of machines by different manufacturers and never had a paddle come off in process.

Hello, There is a sealed bearing that is on the bottom of the pan and unfortunately it can not be replaced. You will need a new bread pan. Hank

Squeaking noise in bread machine

Remove the bake pan and rotate the connector in the base. If it feels tight, then this is likely the problem.

They don't like being dishwashed either.

Leave overnight with half a cup of olive oil in the pan to see it it will work itself into the plastic bearing.

If you run the machine briefly without the bake pan in there - and it still squeeks - lightly oil the base bearing too.

Ifthese are not the problem, and the squeeking persists, it will be an internal bearing needing a drop of light oil, or the belt could benefit from a dusting with talc (or cornflour)

Hi,
There is a sealed bearing at the bottom of the pan. This allows the paddle to rotate. The bearing has failed and is falling apart. This usually happens with age or use. Time for a new bread pan. If you are lucky you can find one on ebay. Sorry for the bad news....Hank

Keeading blades

I had the same problem. I find the loaves to be a much better size if I just use program setting 8 - Dough then put the dough in 2 regular bread pans or on cookie sheets (bagetts), let them have a second rising and finish them in the convection oven at 350 F for 21 minutes.

Kneading blade cooks into the loaf

Hi Jessica,

As I read the manual, under the Care & Cleaning section,

"2. If the kneading blades remain in the bread pan, grip the kneading blade and
pull straight up to remove......"

Based on the diagrams and instructions, I don't think you're supposed to pull the blades before baking...why do you want them out? Cosmetics?

If I can be of further assistance, let me know. If this solves the issue, please rate it accordingly.

Thanks in-advance for using Fixya.com,

Jon

Removing paddles before bake cycle

Rather than pulling out the paddles , pull out the dough and bake it in regular bread pans in your oven.

I want to smell home baked bread!

Before loading the pan with ingredients, try turning the paddle by hand.  If it's very stiff, perhaps soak in water for a while and see if that softens the hardened dough or flour around the base of the paddle.  That could be preventing smooth turning.

Dough blade sticks in bread

Dunno - I've got the same problem. A few things do help: 1. Scrub the pan THOROUGHLY before baking new bread. Especially around the paddle, where little bits of baked dough can collect. 2. Put in a little more butter or oil or shortening than the recipe calls for. Just a scoche.  3. Put the bread up before going to sleep, and take out in the morning. That seems to allow enough time to elapse that the bread comes out without taking a chunk out of the bottom. I also tried putting the pan in wet from a washing, instead of waiting for it to dry. This morning's loaf came out fine & dandy. I don't think anything's going to stop us poor 3400 owners from having to bang the bread pan upside down on a cutting board in order to get the bread out of the pan. Sigh.
Hope this all helped. Amy
