The words "high" "low" etc have rubbed off the actual crockpot, and we don't know what position to turn the dual to for "high".

LOW is usually the first setting from off then it will be HI . some white nail polish will reletter it quite well

Hi the crockpot controls have erased the settings could you tell me what is hi...low or heat

Most crockpots have only two settings: low and high/heat. Use the high/heat setting for dishes that will cook in 2-4 hours. The low setting is for your "all day" cooking, typically 6-8 hours.

Hope this helps.

How do I get both 8 hours time and high setting on this crockpot?

I got it on high for 1 hour and then reset it to low for 7 more hours and everything appears to be fine. I suspect that this crock pot runs at a little higher temperature. The *low* setting seems as hot as my older crockpot on high...... With this crock pot - set the hours while turned off with the right button and then turn it on. You may have to play with it several times to get the proper heat setting. As I said, I could only keep on it *high* for 1 hour.
