Question about Dell Inspiron 1545 Notebook

My ops is Window 7. I purchased this computer a bout 4 months ago. Then, I had no problem browsing the internet, receiving and sending emails. However, about 3 weeks ago both me and my wife, using different email addresses, could not send or read emails.. We used our current email addresses back when we first used our notebook. I attempted to restore this computer to a previous time without success. do you have a solution to my problem.

I am asuming you are using Windows Mail or Outlook, and my first guess would be to check with the email address provider if they made any changes to the account setup. If nothing is changed there, you might want to check with your Internet provider if they made any changes.

Incoming emails are not appearing in the inbox folder of Microsoft Outlook 2010.


Could be your Outlook profile got corrupted somehow. If you use your account settings on another PC w/Outlook does the trouble follow? Or is it strictly w/your PC? Obviously, other profiles are working fine (your partner's). One solution might be to backup your .pst file to the C: drive or a USB drive, completely delete your old profile, and build a new one. Once your confirm that email is working properly, then attempt to reload your old .pst file to get all your old email back.

Something else you could try is to open Outlook in Safe Mode. This will run Outlook with minimal addons in order to eliminate the possibility that some sort of addon is the culprit.

You can use one of these methods to start Outlook using a command line switch:
Hold Ctrl key as you click the Outlook shortcut.
If you use Vista or Windows 7, type outlook.exe /safe in the Start Search field on the Start menu then press Enter.

Why doesn't it work correctly?


Also, make sure nothing is in your Outbox folder. If any emails are stuck in this folder, it will cause issues.

Clear internet temporary files


Open internet Explorer - click Tools - Options (in Menu)
in General tabs you will see the button - Delete...
Press it to delete all temporary internet files

I need to be able to send pictures again as i was up untill approx two or three weeks ago. About then out of the blue microsoft office email progam appears when i try to send a picture but i canot send...


When in IE > Tools > Internet Options > Programs tab > In Internet Programs section what do you have as Email program?
Can you select "Outlook Express" in Drop-down menu of Email option?
Try setting OE and score this solution.

Ask COMCAST for the names of their POP-server and of their MAIL-server, and configure Outlook Express to use those names.

Microsoft Live Mail is "web-based" -- all you need to do is to web-surf to their web-site, login, and click "send/receive" or click "compose" and later "send".

It takes forever to get into my yahoo mail, then when I do it shows my emails for a quick second then dissapears!


The first thing you may try is to access your Yahoo! Mail in a different computer, to see if the same problem will occur.

If your Yahoo Mail work correctly on different computer, then the problem has something to do with your computer. Most likely, it's the internet browser. If the problem is within your computer, you may try to clear the cookies, cache, internet files, and/or browsing history of your browser. Here's how:

* For Internet Explorer:

1. Run Internet Explorer and click on 'Tools' menu.
2. Go to Internet Options and locate the Browsing History section.
3. Click the 'Delete' button and delete the Temporary Internet Files, Cookies and History.
4. Close the Internet Explorer and re-open it.
5. Access your e-mail.

* For Mozilla Firefox:

1. Run Firefox and hit 'Tools' menu.
2. Go to 'Clear Recent History' and click the drop-down arrow for 'Time range to clear'.
3. Select 'Everything' and then click the line beside details.
4. Check browsing & download history, form & search history, cookies, cache.
5. Click "Clear Now" button.
6. Close and re-open Firefox.
7. Access your e-mail.

* For Safari:

1. Open the Safari.
2. Click the Safari menu (right beside the Apple icon) and select "Empty Cache".
3. When asked "Are you sure you want to empty the cache?", click "Empty".
4. Click the Safari menu (right beside the Apple icon) then go to "Preferences".
5. From the security dialog box, click "Bookmarks".
6. Click on "Show Cookies" button and then hit "Remove All" button.
7. Select "Done".
8. Access your email.

please follow the same.

1. connect Blackberry to the computer.
2. open desktop manager and click on SYNCHRONIZE.
3. click on the CONFIGURATION tab
4. click RESET CONFIGURATION
5. click CONFIGURE SYNCH
6. Select a BlackBerry device application (Address Book, Calendar, MemoPad, or Tasks), then click Choose.
7. click BROWSE
8. add the folders you want to synchronize and then click OK
9. click OK to close the chose application window
10. click OK to close the device cinfiguration window
11. synchronize the organizer data on your black berry device.
