It sounds like it may need a VGA replacement. If it was working on one computer and not the other I would say to look into the video card within the computer. If you have a warranty on the monitor you can call the support line and they will repair or replace it for you

How do I fix the error no vga input signal no dvi input signal monitor going to sleep

Check if you VGA is properly settled in the PCI slot. Try to take it out, clean the slot for dust.
If that doesn't help, it is well possible that you VGA is not working any more.

I loaded Windows 7 and now when I turn on the computer, the monitor says DVI input no input signal and goes to sleep. Can you help?

Do you have the correct driver loaded? Are you using DVI output on the computer? Is there a VGA output? If so, try using a VGA cable while you troubleshoot the video issue.

How do I switch from DVI to VGA before monitor goes to to sleep?

The "Select" button on the front is supposed to perform this function, usually a monitor will default to whatever mode it was in when it shut down. Alternate presses of the button will switch between the two. I have seen monitors fail to recognize seemingly valid inputs for various reasons, sometimes the computer settings are incorrect and sometimes failure of the monitor video input. I have also seen buttons fail or get stuck on, they also occasionally get contaminated with screen cleaning fluid. If you need more help reply with more specific information about the problem.

Monitor wont come out of sleep mode

I'm guessing you are using a the VGA input of this monitor (the smaller "D" shaped connector with 15 pins) on the back. If not, and you are using the DVI input (larger white connector), then check your PC video output. I've seen this occur with HP monitors when they accidentally get set to "digital" input. Its easy to set that way (even by mistake), but not as easy to reset to analog (VGA). To do that, you'll need to find someone with a DVI output on their video card. Once you connect to a DVI source, the monitir will come on and stay on. You then need to go into the menues of the monitor, find the setting and change it back to "analog". After you do of course, you won't get an image on your monitor until you reconnect to an "analog" (VGA) source.

No DVi input, then computer goes to sleep

Hi publicworker,

I had a similar problem whereas my monitor went to sleep mode after a few minutes. I'm running an HP LP 2065 in dual mode with another HP flat screen. However, I did resolve the issue after resetting the output settings.

How to do that:
  • right mouse click on the desktop
  • select graphic options
  • output to
  • extended desktop
Maybe some changings/modification will help you too.

No DVi input, then computer goes to sleep

I have a new HP pavilion slimline with Vista......a 19 inch flatscreen monitor......I went nuts with it not connecting and saying no DVI input......

I tried something and so far it has worked 10 times in a row...

start out with puter and monitor off.......turn on monitor.......let it go to sleep....then turn on puter....

I have the puter that has the start button on top of it.....not too crazy about it.....

hope this works for you.........Judy in NY
