Question about LG WM0642H

1 Answer

Our machine worked fine on all cycles but the "normal" where it would run 3/4 of the way thru the cycle and then give either a dE (door not closed) or PF (power failure). Sears sent a guy who changed the entire circuit board ($100 part). Unfortunately I was gone yesterday when he completed the repair. Good news is that the washer works on all the cycles. Bad news is now there is absolutely no aural sounds at all coming from the machine. What did he not reconnect? Thanks.

The "no aural sounds" part is that normally this washer makes different noises as you cycle thru the different cycles, it lets you know when the wash cycle is complete with a different "tune" now all of that sound is gone. The physical washing of the clothes without giving the earlier faults is fixed but now this new "no sound" problem has emerged.

That's what I thought, makes sense. Thanks for the info.
    Will call Sears back.

Hello,
Could you please explain what you mean by "there is absolutely no aural sounds at all coming from the machine" you say it worked on all cycles, but then you seem to say it doesn't work at all, a little confused here?? One thing is for sure call Sears service and have them get back out and do the job right!!

This may be due to the replacement part they used (central control circuit board), it may be a generic replacement part that is not able to generate the sounds of the different cycles, use of knock off parts is common to save you money, I know the original OEM board is much more than $100.00. You will need to call Sears repair services and ask them about this difference in the functioning of the new part.

I have an Aqualtis 9l29i washing machine. It is working fine but the wash cycles are all ridiculously long.Put it on the quick wash yesterday, three hours later still washing!! Suggestions please?

1. Front load machines always have much longer cycles.

2. The machine you have has a time saver mode on most cycles.

3. Check with your local Ariston reps on the time various wash cycles should take with your model if this is not specified in the user manual, which it normally would be.

4. These are notoriously bad over priced machines which will give you trouble early in ownership and are expensive to fix. For half the price you can buy a good top loader that will give you at least twice the trouble free years of use and not run ridiculous wash cycle times.

LG Washing Machine has DE Error code

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

'de' does stand for Door Error. There is likely to be a problem with either the lid/door solenoid/lock or the 'lid/door closed' sensor becoming apparent with the extra movement of washing requiring a service engineer's attention I suggest ;-0(

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

My B66 will not allow anything to come out of the dischare side, tank and water valve on supply side are all clear and De-scle mode is showing and started De-scle procedure but it will not discharge...

1.Power off machine.
2.Using a metal paperclip, insert it into left side of top needle. It must insert at least 1" deep.Insert it into slot on right side and again from back of needle.
3.Remove KCup cradle.Separate bottom from top.In the top section, insert the paperclip up into bottom needle from the bottom upwards. It will not go all the way thru and this is normal.
4.Reassemble KCup cradle and reinsert it back into coffee maker.
5.Power on machine.
6.Brew a cup of water only. There may be coffee grounds in the water and these should eventually clear during the remaining steps.NOTE: A large cup brew cycle should output a full 8 ounces (235cc).Less means there is still a blockage
7.Empty reservoir and fill with undiluted distilled white vinegar.Repeatedly run brewing cycle until Add Water light comes on.
8.Make sure Auto-OFF is NOT set and let last cycle of vinegar remain inside machine for 4 hours.
9.Refill reservoir with fresh water and repeatedly run brewing cycle until the water is clear and odorless.
10.Set Auto-OFF, if preferred.

Unit filling with water but pumping very weakly

This is most likely caused by build up on the filters inside the dishwasher. The best thing to do is to run it thru a cycle with vinegar. To do this, empty the dishwasher, start it on a normal cycle and listen for it to start filling. When it starts to fill, open it and pour about 1/2 to 3/4 of a gallon of regular white vinegar in the bottom of the dishwasher and close the door. Let it run thru the rest of the cycle. That should help. Run this as maintenance about every 3 or 4 months. Hope this helps!

Samsung Front Load washer has odour

IMPORTANT: Read thoroughly. DO NOT add detergent or other laundry products to this cycle.
1. Remove all items from the washer.
2. Open the dispenser drawer and 2/3 cup (160 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach to the bleach compartment. DO NOT use more than 2/3 cup (160mL) of bleach per cycle as this will lead to product damage.
3. Close the washer door and dispenser drawer.
4. Select the Clean Washer cycle or a full wash cotton 104 F wash (40 C). DO NOT use any higher temperature as this will cause unnecessary fumes
5. Press Start and allow cycle to complete.
6. If the bad odour persists, repeat the procedure 1 or 2 more times. This may be necessary if this is the first time you have run this cycle.
7. After the cycle is complete, leave the door open slightly to allow ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
8. Repeat the cleaning procedure monthly.
To maintain the washer freshness:
1. Use only HE High Efficiency detergent.
2. Leave the door open after each cycle to for better ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
3. Use warm / hot water in your machine unless the fabric you are washing requires cold.
4. Use the correct amount of fabric softener.
5. If your laundry room is damp, use a dehumidifier.
6. Clean the door seal of visible residue.

HI, this is a Door Open Error.

Possible Causes are..-

* Door not all the way closed

* Door switch assembly is out of order(Miss aligned)
* Gasket on door may be creased in

Most common issue here will be a defective door lock switch. check all causes before replacing the switch.
