How to replace stator 2005 Harley deluxe

Hi Anonymous, if you are going to work on your bike your going to need tools, and the first and best tool you will ever buy is a service manual. It has step by step instructions, how too's, pictures, special tools you will need, torque specs, special products (loc-tite, sealants, cleaners ect.) and wiring diagrams, along with trouble shooting tips. That being said here is the short version: Drain primary oil, remove primary cover, clutch pak, primary chain, compensating sproket, and alternator rotor to access stator. Good luck

Timing camshaft

for gti engine , you will need a timing tool
this one has both timing belt and chain, first you need to line up the chain and it will require the timing tool .
for the belt there should be two marks one on the cam sproket and one on the crank sproket. you will have to line up the marks with ( OT).

How do i get the sprocket off

If you mean a front sproket, it is likely to be held on by 4 or 4 bolts to the crank arm.
If you mean the rear cassett, you will need a chain whip and a lockring tool. Hold the sproket still with the chain whip then undo the locking with the tool.

Popping noise coming from front sprocket when wheel is turned on 01 suzuki gsxr 600

hi it sounds like your front sproket is really worn and hooked when you turn the chain its not releasing the links smoothly ,replace it with a new one and check the condition of your chain it may be worth replacing a complete chain and sproket set as running a bike with a worn front sproket could lead to a back wheel locking up at speed if the chain jams

How do i time a 2002 dogde neon?

you need to take apart all the front of the engine until you get to the timing belt, once you are there, you are going to look for the marks on the sprokets,in the crank shaft sproket is a dot, align it whit the triangle that you are going to see back housing, the cam shaft sprokets you are going to see the marks.on the right sproket it is going to be slightly half dent foward.

2001 pt cruiser. Timing is not aligned. The holding tool I used to remove the cam sprokets slipped. The exhaust sproket is 180 off. How do I fix that without screwing up the valves/pistons

you can fix this by setting the bottom end of the engine center stroke then rotate the cams to the proper alignment markrotate the bottom end slowly in a clockwise motion back to top dead center :)

  1. Check the IPL for your saw to see if any special tools are needed.
  2. There are metal piston stops available, when square (almost never) with the piston top these work well, if not square they have been known to punch through the piston. I suggest a length of starter cord or nylon rope be used instead of the piston stop (retain 6" ± so you can remove it). Make sure the piston is near the top of the cylinder before feeding the cord or it can fall through the exhaust port and damage the piston as it rises.
  3. Everyone I have ever removed had a left handed thread (tighten it to loosen it).
Let us know how it worked for you.
