The internal memory is separate from the card. It may be full (it's really small) and preventing the camera from writing to your card. If that's the case, do this...with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. After that, your card should work properly.

Probably the first thing to try is formatting the card. There is a function in the camera menus to do this. If it won't format or gives an error when you try, then there may be an issue with the connectors in the card slot or the card may be incompatible.

Maybe it is having trouble with the size of the memory. Memory cards have grown enormously in capacity in the last couple of years, and even relatively new cameras may not be able to cope with the memory size of the newest cards. It is often difficult to find out the maximum capacity a camera will use, as today's memory cards are much larger that those available when the manual for the camera was written.

SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but many cameras won't work with the SDHC (high capacity) cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible.

My Kodak easyshare c613 says internal memory is full, then it goes to memory card requires formatting. i dont want to delete my internal photos i want save them into my memory card

you can save them to computer via usb, any new photos will store to the memory card.
unaware that you can transfer between device and card as the processor probably cannot handle the data of read and write at the same time.

Internal memory card full

Hello, You need to either download the images to your PC or delete the images from the internal memory or you need to install a blank memory card in the slot and save images to that card.

Best Regards, Russell

Our C613 is not reading the memory card when it is turned on. It goes straight to built in memory which only holds 12 pictures. What do we need to do??

Pls. check that the "lever" on the memory card isn't set to black the reading of the card.

Go into Menu, Cam settings and AUTO or internal: Press OK for Internal.
NOTE if the cam. cannot read the card it will automaticly go over to internal memory.

Good luck

Memory card is in camera(kodak c613) Camera

Make sure the card is fully pushed in; otherwise it could be the reader.
You could try to insert the card into an external card reader connected to a PC.
If it is recognized by windows, click "format".
If that works put the card back into the camera.
If it is now recognized, go to "menu" and format again with the camera.
If the card is not recognized, your internal card reader seems to be faulty.

Internal memory full can't take photos

Just sorted similar problem on my camera. For some reason, the memory card option had reset itself to Internal only. It needs to be on Auto to take the external card into account. Press on Menu button, scroll down to Memory and select Auto. Hope it works for you too

Memory card

If the card has not been formatted to remove data, it may have info that is not compatible between your old and new cameras.

If you have a USB card reader, place the card in it and re-format it.

If that doesn't work, then the card may be faulty.
