Clean or replace the fuel filter. Check the fuel lines for decay or other damage. Check the muffler for plugging of the screen. Be sure to run with fresh fuel mix and to shake the container thoroughly each time just before filling the tank to prevent oil starvation. Hope this helps!

455 rancher runs with chock out 15 second and dies

Try opening the choke half way as soon as it starts then all the way open in a few seconds... It only needs the choke to start and should run fine in less than a minute after idleing with the choke not engaged...

This sounds like the throttle spindle sticking, or the cable sticking, if you remove the top cover and air filter, then push the throttle spindlefully back to the stop screw with your finger, then try again, the spindle may be a little gummed up.

Husqvarna 51 idle seems to struggle, runs OK when I throttle then chokes and dies out as soon as the throttle is released. What can I do?

will it start right back up after it dies? you could use a small screwdriver and turn the idle screw in a little to raise the idle speed that should fix it.

Won,t run full throttle

The problem could be a plugged fuel filter located inside the gas tank itself. Drain the gas. You can fish it out by using a hook of some sort. Then Replace with FRESH gas. If thats not the problem you have yourself a gummed up carb. Possibly from leaving fuel in it when out of season. Take apart the carb and spray with carb cleaner. Check all holes and screens on the top as well as the metering lever and diaphram on the bottom. They make model specific rebuild kit based on the model of the carb itself.

Husky 455 dies out at full throttle or under load

Your carb may be the issue but your ignition coil could be the culprit. Once they start going bad, they can act up intermittently or give various symptoms from day to day. The fact that your saw dies at full load or under load, probably means that when your saw gets hot or requires more spark, your coil is not able to provide it. Your carb is easy enough to clean out, you can take it all apart and clean all screens, etc....

I just replaced my coil due to the exact same symptoms and now my saw runs great. $60 off ebay and you can put it on in 15 minutes yourself. Check your carb first though
