Thermoheater 210,000 BTU will not run. The ignitor is working, fuel is spraying across ignitor. If fan blade is removed, unit will light? It seems to be getting too much wind from the fan blade, causi

Doug, I'm not sure if I understand completely. Are you saying that the problem existed when you still had clean 1-K Kerosene in the tank? If that is the case, I would first check the spark ignitor to ensure that it is clean and set at the correct gap. Understand that Kerosene which has been standing in the tank since last season will not be as volatile as fresh kerosene and probably should not be used. Diesel fuel, especially Diesel #2, is also not nearly as volatile as it should be. I believe these heaters should only be used with fresh kerosene or #1 fuel oil.

Have a 115000 btu forced air kerosene heater.. used maybe 12 times over 3-4 years. when turned on motor is binding somehow. i maqnually turned blade and does not spin easilly. whats causing this?

Unfortunately it is the lack of use that has hurt this unit. Try using PB Blaster on the bearings and working the fan by hand until it loosens up. It will loosen up eventually, when it does give those bearings lubercation with a light oil. From running and shutting down and not using it for a while I would think that things got a little rusted up inside, this happens due to condensation forming on the warmed parts then it rusts. You can check the fuel pump but they usually are not an issue with the heaters.

I have a All-Pro 115,000 btu multi fuel heater. When first plugged in fan runs, fuel sprays out the nozzle but heater won't fire. Any suggestions?

You probably have already checked this but is the ignitor trying to fire or not working at all ? Just curious. Thank you

When heater starts it does not always light, I get a C3 code

the ignitor is faulty, mine also did that and I noticed one night that it was shorting out right from the ignition box. I put in a new ignitor and flame sensor and it's fine now. All ignitors are basically the same you just have to do some creative wireing. reddyparts.com still has most parts for your heater.

100,000 btu therm controled heater

What did you set the air pump pressure at? This is critical on heaters with Hot Surface Technology. Setting the pump pressure is always the FIRST place to start troubleshooting on these heaters.

Here are some things that can prevent ignition even though there is fuel & glow:
  1. wrong air pump pressure
  2. the nozzle is restricted & distorted not allowing fuel to contact the glowing ignitor
  3. the nozzle is worn. It should produce a cone of fog, not a spray.
  4. there is water in the tank below the fuel.
