Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S750 Digital Camera

1 Answer

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-S750. I recently dropped it in some water, so I came home, took the battery out and dried the camera for 2 1/2 days. Now when I take pictures there are white lines running horizontally and it has a yellow hue. Even when I look at them on the computer it had that, what's wrong and how do I fix it?

First of all, you're lucky it turned on at all. Usually, a camera must be buried in a bowl of dry rice for a week before it is completely dry. Even then, only if it was dropped in distilled water would it work properly. Ordinary water will leave deposits that will change the way the camera behaves. Salt water is even worse...it will continue to corrode the electronics long after the incident.

I want to download driver for Sony cybershot DSC -S750

You don't need a driver.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-S750. It will not turn off or on. The battery is full. It turned on earlier today and then suddenly just would not turn off or on. The lens is in the "on" position...

I have a similar Sony (DSC-L1) and have had the same problem. Remove the battery and SD card, vacuum (or blow on) the lens surround. Seems that grit has stuck between the lens and the cover.
If all else fails, try inserting the battery and gently pushing the lens the lens in. NOT guaranteed, but if this fails, try a photo dealer.

Sony Cybershot

Turning on may have killed it. however try this. Take the batteries and card out and leave the doors open Take a polythene bag and place in it a quantity of uncooked rice or salt tied into a suitable cloth. put the camera in and seal the bag. leave in a warm dry place for several days This may save it -or it may not.
