Question about Dmm Vision Fitness T9500 Treadmill

Open Question

Hello! i have a vision fitness running treadmill. It's older but in good working condition. Everything has been great, except I noticed that the belt started to get a large vertical wrinkle in it, I stopped and loosened the belt to fix the problem. But when i retightened it and ran it it wrinkled and bunched to one side after 15 minutes of running. now I cant get the wrinkles to stay away and stop the treamill from bunching up. What shoudl I do? Ive tried readjusting the tension, on both sides, one side, the other side.... why is it doing this? thanks -lindsay

Use your multi meter check continuity on motor leads if you get about 1 to 1.5 ohms if not leads may have open. You may also need to do calibration if the above check a ok.

first thing to do is to enter the calibration mode. First remove and replace the safety key. Press and hold the elevation up and the speed down buttons until the machines beeps at you 3 times consecutively. You should also see either the model "9450" or the software code which varies from machine to machine. You should now see one of two things - "eng1" may be displayed in which case just use the elevation keys to get to "eng4" and hold enter for 3 seconds - then press start - this will calibrate your machine and confirm if there is any speed reading issues.

If your machine displays more numbers as it would on the deluxe and premier consoles of this brand then you should see the model of your treadmill at the top left. hold enter from here until "eng1" appears and the perform the steps as above. If the speed is not calculating properly during the calibration the magnet or the speed sensor may have been moved or the magnet could have gone bad - usually slowing to one speed and not changing is the sign of a bad speed sensor. If the control board had any irregular voltage it would shut down as a safety precaution.

open motor shroud and inspect all connection on the motor control board see if all LED 's are lit except that light up when incline motor is moving up or down. then check the two connector coming from the drive motor to the board sometime over time the two connector will have a cold soldier I would move them to see any excessive movements of the pins then hit start and see if there is any belt movement. Last but not least unplug unit and check the motor brushes if they are less than 3/8 in in length replace them. Call them @ 1-800-335-4348 they under their parent corp. Johnson fitness.

Have the same problem with my Everyoung Treadmill EY88800K. Display was zapped with static and treadmill became inoperable. Great condition and hate to toss out. Any hope?

End up dismantling the unit and disposing everything except for the motor and belt and rollers. Was a good machine except for no parts support.
