As you know you can select normal email or photo email when using windows live mail 2011.
Login screen appears when i select photo email from the new option.
The second box under the HOME tab.
The login screen is the same one that displays if i select the box on the far left with account information a drop down menu appears if i choose SIGN IN WITH A DIFFERENT WINDOWS LIVE ID

I can't show you the screen as it's on another persons laptop.

Is it possible to add another email account to your Windows Live Mail 2010? If so give it a try (Follow This). Actually your problem is little confusing since you have mentioned mainly two things, Windows Live ID account box and Windows Live messenger login screen.

If it's Live Id, then add a Windows Live ID account and see what happens, i.e. email address with Hotmail.com or Live.com or MSN.com (Click here to learn more or sign up).

Let me know the outcomes.

Well, thanks for the info, I'll get back to you very soon. I am trying out on some systems for the same problem and how to turn Off or On. Thanks for your patience.

If I am right, we have had a chat once, in think in the month of August 2010 (about skype sound issue). Well, I couldn't find that "Photo Email Option" anywhere in the windows live mail. Would you be able to make it more specific or can you send me the screen shots? I've tried on several Systems with Windows 7 and windows live mail 2011, but none seem to have the option "Photo Email".

    Thanks.

Thanks for the info, now I understand what exactly you did mean. Actually, it's a default function, but I tried out one settings from the "connection" tab of the "Options" menu. Open "Options", click "Connection" tab and again click "Stop signing in", then "Apply" and "Ok". Close the program and re-open. Try with the same functions (photo email) and check if this helps or not.

I can't make sure whether this will definitely work out or not, but on one system i've tried, this worked, but on the other two, it makes no difference. While I am still working on the other system to find out how to disable or enable this function, please try with the above instructions.

    All the best.

Never mind. Have you tried my last post's instructions?

I forgot to upload the screenshot, here it is:

It's ok, if this doesn't help, please post back to me so that I would be of another help to you. I am still working on this issue to find out more about this. All the best.

Welcome to Fixya

Hi. You can disable the Live Messenger from your startup services. Here's the procedure on how to disable it. Click the start menu then type in to the start search bar or Run msconfig. Chose the Startup tab, and deselect Windows Live Messenger and click OK.

Thank you for using Fixya!

Hello,

Go to start > All programs > Run. Under 'Run', type in "msconfig" and press enter.

A dialogue box will come up, select "start up", then unmark windows live messenger and press ok. This should do the trick.

Good luck.

Hello Tony,
Which version of Windows OS are you using? XP...? This version is not for XP OS & below.

Take a look at Windows Live Essentials 2011 system requirements & Windows live mail 2011 is an intergral part of Windows Live Essentials 2011.

Windows Live Mail for Windows XP download.

Hope it helps.

My Windows Live Messenger screen is black. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it, but the same thing is happening.

Well my computer was doing the same thing, I could hardly even sign in (using tab i could but couldn't see what I was writing, then when I logged in I ended up seeing all black all over the place in the menus

I'm not sure why it did that, but I uninstalled it and installed an older version of windows live messenger 2011 from here:

It was windows live messenger 2011 15 (offline)

Windows cannot find , http:/ login.yahoo.com/config/reset/bla bla

Bellsouth was taken over by AT&T and AT&T "migrated" it's e-mail over to Yahoo. Since that happened I started getting that message along with many other problems and had to stop using Yahoo Messenger and that took care of the problem (that problem anyway). I am using MSN Messenger now and that error message no longer appears on my screen.
