MY IPODM NANO STOPPED CHARGING

-   just recently my friend was listening to my ipod and it died because there was no battery power left..i got home and charged my ipod through a wall charger...however, after about 30 minutes i took the charger out..The battery display screen just started slowly erasing...i did this multiple times...i decided to charge it over night and the next day the battery life wasn't fully charged yet..i took the plug out and the screen just faded away...im trying it in my computer but it just says "please wait very low batter." i don't know what's wrong...i've had my ipod for more than 3 years now...i don't think it is a battery replacement situation..-   Guest
